sounds perfect for me. I used to use a combination of paint shop then over to photo shop.....but now this gimp may just fit the bill.

It's great for rasters and animation .gif 's. I use Inkscape for .svg 's,   & POV-RAY for ray-tracing. You'll need a powerful workstation for POV-RAY though, at least one Tesla GPU or equivalent. Lots of RAM helps too.

It's great for rasters and animation .gif 's. I use Inkscape for .svg 's,   & POV-RAY for ray-tracing. You'll need a powerful workstation for POV-RAY though, at least one Tesla GPU or equivalent. Lots of RAM helps too.

I have a feeling I will be asking you lots of questions in the near future. I used to love doing little animations too...but can't anymore. Would love to start again.

It is amazing, the first week or two where sketchy, and i got tired of the Pluto stuff, but he has demonstrated he can discuss things outside of his usual topics, thats not easy.
He is still learning but getting better.

I never used Gimp in Windows but i hear it works fine, i have a friend that uses it on a Mac and he loves it, i use the Linux version, best free software on the net imho

Yup, Rossy is doing a great job, so is Heather for Arts show.
I think the difference is Rossy is getting guests outside of Richards comfort level, and Richard is proving he can pull it off for the most part, again, he is still learning.
Heather can book anybody for Arts show, Art is so good he can interview anybody and make it interesting.
