I wanted to bring this to the fellow Brappers attention a while ago but it keeps slipping my mind.
During my time as a Club 19.5'er I amassed a catalog of shows.  I listened to one lately with Windows Media Player and the graphic on the screen is that of Pinocchio with Jiminy Cricket on his nose.  All of the shows have that when listening with the Windows Player.  Anybody else see that?  Perhaps an inside joke from Hoagie?
More likely a joke from the person who encoded the files. We both know Hoaxy couldn't do his own file processing so my guess would be Keith. A more prosaic explanation is that some media players will grab "whatever" from the cloud to use as a graphic. I've played "Club 19.5" files from the first couple of months until I figured out how to record my own on VLC Player and never saw any album art with his files.

Hmmmm....interesting.  Good to know.  Thank you Ciardelo.  I tried VLC but I couldn't get it right because I have one thing in common with Hoagie.  I am woefully inept at technology.  :-[

Comic book Graphic novel

Cool, I'll check that out.  I hope they still have Sea Monkey ads in the back.

I thought I would post here that (Amy) will be doing a show on "Manos: the hands of fate".  After watching that horrible movie, I realized that the people on BG most likely to enjoy it are the OSOM posters... The people who listen to Hoagland for the Braaps, technical difficulties and amateurish mistakes.

Manos was a movie written by, directed by and starring somebody with no experience in the movie biz in 1966...  It is every bit as bad as you imagine and a full (free) version is on the wikipedia page for it.

I'm just saying that Manos: the hands of fate is a movie that Hoagland might make... 8)

I could never brave watching the unfiltered relase version of "Manos".  I could only barely manage the MST3K version.   ;)

It has been pointed out that I did not post a link and as such, I fail at this whole promotion thing.  Good thing I was not in charge of promoting MITD when Art returned (of course, the end result would have been the same.)  :'(

On a brighter note, Amy can be found at http://amyontheradio.com/  On Monday, May 9th @ 8PM - 11PM Central standard (translated to being way too early for us insomniacs), she will have Jackey Jones (who played the little girl In Manos, and whose father played "the master") on her show and they will do open lines in the third hour.

If you have not yet heard of Amy, she was the news reader on MITD for a limited time and has been the recipient of may positive reviews on Bellgab such as:

Roswells, Art enthusiastically stated, "... I'm not experiencing any unpleasantness while listening to this show."

Bateman raved, "... My blood pressure has not been elevated at all listening to her."

Honestly, there has been a fairly positive reception to her show and it is free if you catch it live...

While you can watch the original on Wikipedia, this link apparently makes the bad film a little more amusing.

One major drawback to the (amy) show. 6pm Pacific  :P

Gruntled

Here in the Northeast I'm glad Amy is on at 9pm EDT.
I understand it's a little too early for fans on the other side though.

Maybe a compromise could be worked out?

Well, I have to wake up at 3AM Eastern to hear Hoagie live so.......it seems like more than a fair compromise already, to me, that I can hear Amy at 9PM Eastern.

No?  :-[ :-*

I agree, no compromise needed. The west already has plenty of shows in this genre catering to their time zone. Amy is just about the only show I have any chance in participating in live.

enterprisemission.com is back up. So there's that... of course the content is still undecipherable garbage.

Some things NEVER change.  enterprisemission.com, undecipherable garbage you can count on.

Rare check-in with an update. I appeared on a live HD webcast this past weekend talking about emdrive. TMRO is a self-proclaimed indie space geek show - all factual. It might not be to everyone's liking but you can see my ugly mug there  ;) I start at about 25 minutes in.

Also, working on details to get back onto OTOM later in the month...til then, may you live long and Braaaap

I couldn't even deal with Art's Sirius show at 7pm.   :(

Always great to hear you on the show.

It's become obvious the best, most important, posters all live in the west. Amy should cater to us instead of chasing those east coast losers. Of course I haven't even heard Amy's show and probably wouldn't like it. I only like radio Dada.

Ya her shows competent, just like old school Art bell.

Also there is a comment section on the new website! So I gave my opinion!

Ban Robin from the air. You had a legitimate doctor on, and as much as I disagreed with him, at least he was a real doctor and not some fake Doctor, Trump loving anti vaccine crackpot. Robin decided to take over the show and not shut up. Seriously Robin is the low point of this show and should be banned.

I do wonder how much the person I am today would be able to tolerate Art's old shows. I mean I was just an insomniac kid that enjoyed aliens. Adult me is a skeptic who only wants to be amused by batshit insane people. My understanding of politics through experience and education would probably make me hate Art's pseudo Libertarian nonsense. I'd probably enjoy the old Hoagland guest shows because he is a charismatic kook though. But I don't care for pre recorded radio so I won't actually seek out any old shows to confirm or deny my suspicions.

You're barely here anymore! Plus you're moving in with Norland. He needs the company.

Well Art and hoagie are responsible for the heavens gate suicides, hoagie and some remote viewer brought the idea that the comet was an alien craft to Arts show.

For various reasons.  One of which is it's 3 am here when the show starts!!!!!!  That shit wears on me after a while.

I need a compatible roommate and there have been very few in my life time.  I have a certain way about things.  ;D

Okay....I exaggerated.  By "very few", I meant nobody.  My ex-wife couldn't cut it.  ;)  LOL!

But truthfully....someone I wouldn't see often, respects privacy, is clean and tidy, non-smoker....just to name a few traits.  :D

Norland is none of those things. :(
