Benjamin E. Zeller is a researcher and teacher of religion in America. He focuses on religious currents that are new or alternative, including new religions, the religious engagement with science, and the quasi-religious relationship people have with food. His interests are united by an interest in expanding the conversation about religion by including less commonly studied groups, phenomena, and topics, and looking at more common topics (e.g. religion & science; American religious history) from new angles.

Zeller is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Religion at Lake Forest College, a private liberal arts college in the Chicago suburbs. He previously served as Director of the College Honors Program, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, and Coordinator of the Religion and Philosophy Major at Brevard College, and visiting Fulbright Fellow at Ã...bo Akademi (Turku, Finland).



Heaven’s Gate is best known as the UFO group that ended with the mass suicides in San Diego in 1997 at the time of the Hale-Bopp comet. It made the news after the movement’s 39 active members committed mass suicide, and there was a bit of a media frenzy. The group is now defunct, though ex-members maintain their website and there are still a few believers out there.

After introductions, Benjamin explains how he got into Ufology & what he learned about the infamous Heaven's Gate. Benjamin has done extensive research on the even of 1997 that will live on forever.

Episode 109: The Cosmic Universe


Michael welcomed Lawrence krauss to the program. Lawrence Maxwell Krauss is an American-Canadian theoretical physicist and cosmologist who is Foundation Professor of the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University, and director of its Origins Project.

Lawrence’s major research areas and activities are encompassed within theoretical particle astrophysics and cosmology, including studies of the early universe, neutrino astrophysics, dark matter, dark energy, quantum field theory and gravity, black holes, stellar evolution, nucleosynthesis and eschatology.

Krauss is the author of over 300 scientific publications, as well as numerous popular articles on physics and astronomy.

He is the author of 10 popular books, including the international bestseller The Physics of Star Trek(1995) and most recently A Universe from Nothing (2012), which immediately became New York Times Bestseller and has now been translated into 24 different languages. It argues that not only can our universe naturally arise from nothing, without supernatural effects, but that it probably did. His newest book, The Greatest Story Ever Told .. So Far.

After introductions Michael and Lawrence discuss a variety of topics such as: How and why we are here? How the universe can be created out of nothing. How he grades Donald Trump as our President. Bill O’Reilly’s embarrassing statements on national television. Michael Ask’s Lawrence his opinion on Arizona state’s decision to remove evolution from the state’s science education standards. What about abductions or Jesus?

Diane Douglas has taken the standards, written by educators, and selectively replaced instances of the word “evolution” with euphemisms like “change over time.” The alterations come less than a year after Douglas publicly advocated for introducing religious ideas into biology classrooms. The importance of teaching science is vital, and should be focused on.

Michael Asks What Lawrence thinks of the flat earth theory, and Ken Ham. As things wind down Michael is curious on how the universe ends. Lawrence gives his best explanation, how and if the universe will end.

JOSHUA FREE began participating in his planetary mission by receiving ‘unofficial’ personal apprenticeships from individual mentors who were, themselves, members (active or preexisting) of the Illuminati, Rosicrucians, Freemasons, Catholic Mystics, Christian Gnostics, Buddhist Monks, Freezoners (Scientology), the Dragon Court / Dragon Society, Theosophical Society, Aurum Solis, the GD (Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn), the O.T.O.
