Yeah, but I don't buy that.  If he believes as strongly as he professed that this thing is as ill advised, he could have told his news director he was the wrong guy for the assignment. His showing up is sending the wrong message, he's the "UFO guy" and A51 guy, his attendance lends credibility to this lunacy.  He's looking for continued street cred in the UFO community, and banking on his day go to legitimize the effort.
There is arguable debate on such stuff. I tend to not favor the reporters views but they hold them dear. Claim is bringing the news to people, non-partisan, telling the truth, and so on. But I still have some questions about how a person can simply film stuff like starving kids, summary executions, suicides, and what-not. As if because they have a camera, laptop, or type-writer they are "exempt" from humanity. "I'm just here to document" (and profit) from the depravity and tragedies. As if people aren't aware of the bad things in the world.

I get that aspect of a reporter's job, but what we have here is well beyond that.  This is a legitimate conflict of interest, one where Knapp is using his day job to shield himself from criticism, and possibly even accountability, should this farce result in a tragedy.  Again, him being readily identified with both UFOs and A51 lends credibility to the event, despite him saying it's a bad idea.  Recusing herself from the event would be the right thing to do, but he won't do that.

Maybe he could pair with Jerry Rivers and give out the plans of the invasion in real time to the gov't? And be there when the underground base is opened to find....nothing?

Guests
Chase Kloetzke,  Tom O'Neill

First half: In 2016, Chase Kloetzke became an official lobbyist for the UFO field, with a goal to include our nation’s elected leaders with scientific communities, breaching the secrecy and ridicule stigma the UFO field has experienced for decades. Kloetzke will discuss her most recent field investigations into the UFO phenomenon as well as her opinion on the ‘’Storm Area 51’’ viral sensation.

Second half: Twenty years ago, while journalist Tom O'Neill was researching the Manson murders, he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the ‘’official’’ story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents. When a tense interview with Vincent Bugliosi--prosecutor of the Manson Family, and author of Helter Skelter--turned a friendly source into a nemesis, O'Neill knew he was onto something. Tom joins George Knapp to discuss how his quest for the truth led him from reclusive celebrities to seasoned spies, from San Francisco's summer of love to the shadowy sites of the CIA's mind-control experiments, on a trail rife with shady cover-ups and suspicious coincidences.

While the first couple hours last night were the same old bullshit with Corbell and Knapp stroking each other's.....ah, egos, the second guest was pretty entertaining.  He runs some Area 51 website/forum that, although it sounds more fan boy than authoritative, I intend to check out.  The guy also lives in Rachel and had some scary, real world insights into the  problems those goofballs going out to Rachel/Area 51 next month will face.

There were two calls in this latter segment that were noteworthy.  The first was from a very aviation savvy 70 year old gentleman who gave a detailed description of an aircraft he saw a few years ago fly over his desert home.  Sounded like something I've heard rumors about.  I look forward to his sketches of the craft being posted on the guest's site.

The second call was from C2C favorite Barry who told us he and a friend of his are heading to Nevada in a high dollar RV for the Area 51 shindig next home.  George/C2C should spring for a sat phone for Barry to be their on-site correspondent to give live, on-air reports of the event.

Last night RCH had a show on the upcoming invasion of area 51. James Goodall was guest. He is pretty fun guest, lots of talk about Skunkworks, Blackbird etc. Bob Lazar talk. Both expressed concerns about crowd size, the idiocy of trying to 'invade' a government base, the lack of infrastructure to accommodate crowds, the possibility of disorder or terrorism, car accidents, and "city slickers" who have no idea of surviving/camping in a desert.

Knapp will be there but, yes, "live updates" from Barry would be hilarious.

Guests
Donald Hoffman,  Paul Stonehill

First half: Pioneering cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman joins George Knapp to discuss how our visual perceptions are not a window onto reality, but instead are interfaces constructed by natural selection, and the objects we see around us are not unlike the file icons on our computer desktops. Drawing on thirty years of his own influential research, as well as evolutionary biology, game theory, neuroscience, and philosophy, Hoffman will make the mind-bending, yet utterly convincing, case that the world is nothing like what we see through our eyes.

Second half: Russian UFO researcher, Paul Stonehill, will discuss a new scientific frontier lying under the Antarctic ice on Lake Vostok after Russian researchers finally drilled down and reached the surface of the gigantic sub-glacial freshwater lake. Stonehill wonders why the mission chief compared the achievement to placing a man on the moon, and will tell us about the hidden research being done there.

There is no capitalism in psychedelics? Tell Sandoz, CIA,  and dealers, Knapp. Dennis is interesting but no Terence, even though I think (not sure) he actually more accredited, degree-wise (not that I claim skins on the wall mean knowledge.) I want him to dose Knapp, dammit. In some jungle. And live C2C broadcast it.

Pascagoula Encounter / Tic Tac UFOs

Date
Saturday - October 5, 2019
Host
George Knapp
Guests
Calvin Parker,  Paul Hynek,  Deep Prasad

First Half: Research has continued in the ‘close encounter' experienced by Calvin Parker on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi on the night of October 11th, 1973. Parker, along with UFO researcher Paul Hynek, join George Knapp to discuss the 'smoking gun' known as the 'puncture wound' document located in the files of APRO, possibly confirming that Parker was 'injected' that night by the creatures that abducted him. They will also discuss an independent eyewitness who was on the opposite side of the river that night who put his testimony on the record stating that he too saw the ‘humanoids’ and the UFO taking off.

Second Half: The US Navy recently admitted that three videos that were leaked are authentic cases of "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena" and should not have been released for public use. Deep Prasad, physicist and CEO of ReativeQ, shares new research of the now infamous 'Tic-Tac' UFO incident, which shows that the craft was traveling 20 times faster than the F-18 that was tracking it, meaning that the UAP was moving at over 23,000 mph, thirty-one times the speed of sound

Guests
Susan Schneider,  John Kachuba

First half: Humans may not be Earth’s most intelligent beings for much longer: the world champions of chess, Go, and Jeopardy! are now all AIs; machines with artificial intelligence. AI expert, Dr. Susan Schneider, will join George Knapp to discuss the rapid pace of progress in AI that many predict could advance to human-level intelligence within the next several decades, quickly outpacing human brain power.

Second half: A shapeshifter is a person who can transform into an animal, another person, or a supernatural being. Author and shapeshifting expert, John Kachuba, will discuss the myths and legends of werewolves, vampires, demons, and other weird creatures which appeal to our animal nature and our desire to break free of the bonds of society and proper behavior, which lurk deep in our psyches and remain formidable cultural icons.

I was hoping Kevin would call-in or Knapp would at least mention "Kevin is a hybrid" during the show last night and give a BG shout out.

Dr. Hoffman was interesting. Much basic philosophical thought, said in a new way, but interesting none the less for a radio show. He also never addressed the problem or replication issues and hedged his bets, a bit. Which might be the right thing. Interesting his ideas of evolution and computer theorizing making certain perceptions beneficial- even if not "real." He also made good points that most C2C guest don't get about science never settled.

Of course, we still got the "brain in the vat" etc problem even with this stuff. Haha, though escaped that with some tortured claims! I liked it.

I see that George Knapp is scheduled to host c2cam this weekend both Sat and Sun nights!  :D

Uncle Duke

Last night was a Knapp at his best, and at his worst program.  The first guest was some woo pitcher making claims about all the stuff he has allegedly seen/experienced near Knapp's meal ticket Skinwalker Ranch. As usual with guests of that ilk, Knapp seemingly took everything as Gospel without challenging, or even trying to bound the claims.

The second guest, a retired FBI agent who spent a great deal of his career under cover, was very entertaining.  Knapp expertly guided the guy through the telling of a few of his more noteworthy cases, gently leading the guest past minutiae to get to the meat of his stories.  Knapp really hit his stride when the retired agent related his time undercover in Vegas dealing with mobsters.  One of the best interviews I've heard on C2C in some time .
