Truth or Trash

Who

Coast to Coast AM with GN regularly serves up hot steaming piles of radioactive trash.  What, in your opinion, is the most revolting bit of trash you have heard on C2C?  Medical advice dispensed by people who have never been to medical school?  Alex Jones suggesting the Sandy Hook massacre was a false flag operation?  So much trash, so little time.

DanTSX

Are we talking about C2CAM?

The whole show has been entertainment fantasy bunkum since Art started it.

It's all trash.  Always has been.  Always will be.  Tonight it's Bigfoot on Mars.  Tomorrow it's ghosts sucked my dick.  Monday it will be the autism hour with Awsoemo Mikaku.

The only thing since Noory took over is that it is all of the above except for the "entertainment" part.

Go back an listen to old Art.  Gun waving, right wing, "Libertarian" lunatic.  George just take a nap in the middle of the road and lets the cat ladies take over the show.  Art would tell them to fuck off and ask a time traveler to comment on Waco.

Art is a master of conversation.  He could make anything interesting - even the night he glued his lips together.  George is completely lacking in conversational skills - his dog, if he had one, would probably get up and walk away.

C2C has always had a large percentage of bullsh!t. I can tolerate the UFO / Conspiracy type stuff. I get the entertainment value of some of it. I don't like the book shills when they are on. But when they present people as "doctors" when they are not, when they have medical advice that is dangerously wrong, and when they sling crap like carnivora snake oil... that is where I draw the line.

Entertainment is what it is and everyone has an opinion on what that word encapsulates. Medical stuff is not entertainment. Falsifying credentials is not entertainment. Book shilling is not entertainment.

Who

I rarely listen to C2C.  But last night's show with a veterinarian giving medical advice has to be one of the worst.  And anytime Joshua Warren is on.  Remember the wishing machine?  And George wonders why people criticize him.

On the contrary; if ANYONE can muster enough interest and investment in total bollox and then they go out and buy it, (Either in a subscription or physical thing) it's genius.

Unless you were being sarcastic, I've always thought the same. If some moron is willing to pay money so that a dog whisperer can talk to her dog over the telephone and diagnose doggy mental problems, good for the whisperer. Caveat emptor.

Not sarcastic at all. There is always someone somewhere, guillible and prepared to part with money for snake oil. Same goes for Noory; he sells it and some are prepared to buy it. If they didn't, he'd have nothing to sell.

That's where society falls apart.  Everyone becomes a two bit criminal trying to get away with whatever they can.  America and similar places were built on the idea that people would have principles, a sense of civic responsibility, and a measure of self-respect.  The fact that is largely gone makes me thankful everyday I don't have to live in America.  Personally I think every business and corporation should have to demonstrate it creates a net benefit in addition to generating profit, rather than merely being an instrument for transfering wealth.

Juan

How about providing jobs?  Does that count as a net benefit?

Warren is ALL OVER darkness radio. He frequently unsolicited calls in, has become a sponsor of the show, hangs out in the chat room on the website, and is sometimes a guest. He is way over exposed. He uses all of these avenues to pimp his wishing machine.

Just out of curiosity, what utopian paradise do you live in where businesses behave the way you think they should?

Coast to Coast AM has become an infomercial designed to take the money of their mentally-challenged audience. Wishing machines.  Veterinarians hawking supplements and medical advice.  Osteopaths peddling t-shirts and supplements.  Phony psychics and prophets.

P.T. Barnum would be proud - everyone else associated with this carnival side-show should be ashamed of themselves.

Including those who tune into listen, providing the sponsors with the listening figures to continue sponsoring and funding said show that is peddling all the above? Yes?

I want to wear that tin-foil hat, it has a Mohawk!  Think he can make it in aluminum instead of tin?  'Cuz if he can I will  be the most stylish zombie defender on my block...  How much?  don't care 'bout the survival radio, already have one (Art?  I can listen thru the Zombocaplypse...)

Who

Anyone remember the self-proclaimed "psychic" who helped C2C listeners find The Truth?

Hint:  On March 7, 2010, he was indicted by the Securities and Exchange Commission on charges of fraud.
In February 2013, he was ordered by a judge to pay $11.5 million to the SEC within 14 days.

If you're in search of 100% Pure Bullshit, you can count on Coast to Coast AM.  Or, as the hosts and producers call it, The Truth.

I've been listening to the local affiliate with the I Heart Radio app for a few months, and I think of it as being able to vote with my radio because the app provides an accurate listener count.  I tune in regularly for Knapp and Schrader, but rarely listen to Jorch any more unless I'm particularly interested in the guest, and never listen to Lisa, Connie, or Rob Simone.  It would be interesting to see the ratings data for the various hosts.

Our data suggests YOU don't listen in to listen to me. It's okay, I'm not hurt.

I always enjoy the OLD HAG stories on Coast to Coast AM.  Here's one who's apparently a bit upset because the wishing machine she paid for didn't quite work out as well as she had hoped it would.

You'll have to be more specific.  Do you mean Wilcock? If you do, I agree.

Over the years, let's see...
One I heard back in the 90s, in the days of Art, was an old girl who believed that cosmetics caused HIV/AIDs.  A lot of the health and medicine stuff has really bothered me--people who believe microwave ovens are bad, radical anti-vaxxers, cancer quacks, people who think mammograms cause breast cancer, even people like Peter Breggin.
Kymberlee Ruff had to be the worst of the "fake Indian" genre, though there have been a lot of them over the years.  I knew there was something wrong when she was mixing Tibetan lore with Native lore.
You all know how I feel about Bob Larson, the guy who wanted to have an exorcism reality show--most irresponsible thing I've ever heard of.
All the anti-Bush crap.  I have had issues with the Bushes myself and really don't want Jeb for the next president, but if I hear about Prescott Bush's connections to Nazis one more time, I'll puke.

Blame America first types--can't think of any names right now, but you know them when you hear them.

Delusional people in general--these are often callers, but sometimes guests. People who have had things implanted, who are being stalked, mind-controlled, whatever.  I know that these things really happen to people, but I get the sense that some of these people are egged on by the guests on Coast.

The women who were sex slaves for the CIA.  In general, I don't like these guests who smear people who are conveniently dead, or rely on second or third-hand stories heard from somebody who's conveniently dead.  There's a reason this stuff is considered hearsay in a court of law.
