Anytime it's an ABN night I rejoice. Last night, 10/17-18,
it was Whitley Strieber. Usually, Punett is my fallback position, but last night I enjoyed Strieber even more than the usual Punett show.

It's true, Stieber's focus is somewhat narrow. I'm not sure he could take over general host duties, but it's nice to know there can be Art-less shows that are thoroughly enjoyable.

I to miss the older shows, without G-N, sence George took over, the show has been down played big time.. with Art Bell, you had an inside feeling, I've felt this way before, but with George, it's like, oh gee, another one of the debunker's..George is in the, I still want to believe.. not like some who fully believe, and are no longer waiting..Time for George to get with the program

You know - I usually agree that WS is "audio cancer" as a host - he's actually a pretty good GUEST IMO - but this show was much better than I expected.  He and Ann did talk more than I wished they did (they're a chatty couple) but it wasn't bad.

Art quit smoking before Asia was born. I don't like the smell of smoke, and it is unhealthy, but I have to admit, there is something "cool" and almost "sexy" about someone with a damn cancer stick in their hands.

I felt the same way when my mom smoked. Recently they released a study that concluded that even if you quit after having been a long time, smoker, especially heavy smoker, you still have a chance of getting cancer. I'm still glad she quit, of course, but cigarettes are the worst.

When I was a waitress before the smoking ban in DC restaurants, I had the most sexy laugh as a result of the second hand smoke. I'm not kidding. My voice did stuff I couldn't control, particularly when I would laugh.

I have (fairly well controlled) asthma - but since i have a x-cat of my son's living with me who simple MUST sleep on my bed - I wake up in the morning with "that voice."  It funny how different people reactions can be when I answer the phone - they range from "ooooooooo TALK to me BABY!" to "My GOODNESS!  are you ILL?"

I like Whitley. I'm biased though as we went to the same high-school in Texas and the times I've met him he's always been very nice, approachable and even gave a friend of mine an autograph.

I can't stand George Noory so even if I didn't share an Alma Mater with Mr. Strieber I'd still prefer him over Mushmouth.
