Heard about this on NPR. Obviously playing off the book and movie but supposedly true (does not include people, as far as we know.)
Why haven't this been mentioned on C2C,, or hawked by Alex etc instead of Carnivora, Iodine, Biotene, etc? What is diff between this an the old Carnation Instant Breakfast (no milk, I guess) or all the "juicer" and "smoothy" theories and diets?
Anyone tried it?

update: some ingredients are sourced from China so.....not sure about the no humans involved part.

the question is, does it keep you feeling full for a long time?  probably not.  i say this because it's able to be mixed and then consumed hours later.  shakes that are high in fiber usually have to be consumed almost immediately because they become very viscous when left to absorb the water they're mixed with.  without the fiber content, it's missing a major component of your daily diet, and it won't expand in the stomach to kill your hunger.  then again, maybe i'm totally out of my element and it has all of the fiber you need and i should stfu.

i recommend this:

Swear to God, if my last name were Green, the first name of my first male child would be the S word.

A Boy Named Sue might be a hard row to hoe, but A Boy Named Soylent Green would be clear motive for patricide.

Was quite saddened to hear that Harry Harrison, Author of Make Room!  Make Room! died a couple of years back.

I'd eat Soylent Green, though.

Considering what I've got planned for the neighbours in the event of an sthf situation, Soylent Green would be high falutin'.

Yeah, and the predictive programming has been increasing recently with the zombie and the new Walking Dead seasons  ;)  At least it is properly processed and sanitized! The usual stuff gets you bad situations of CJD or, at least, some bad tummy problemsf when this happens if TEOTWAWKI. Then again, apparently, certain areas of the world love SPAM because it tastes like the old long-pig (I like it because it stores well and reminds me of being a kid with limited income and time parents. And the SALT. Yum, fried up.)

I saw this on Colbert awhile back.  It was created by a coder who didn't want to take time away from his computer to prepare meals.  He apparently did a lot of research and read a lot of medical papers, and then tried to break our nutritional requirements down to easily sourced powders, etc.  Nutritionists argue that getting all your nutrients from one food product probably isn't a good idea.

I love Spam fried up.  Unfortunately, sometimes the odor of cooking pork catches me wrong and I can smell my time overseas.  Human does smell like pork.
