Why are you on this site?

Zoo

I was introduced through a really good friend/family of mine. I started posting on this forum because I enjoy a good debate from time to time. When I first joined I was taught that facts matter on this site and you better have at least two or more references from a credible sources. Which was really cool I must say. It made me learn things that were different from my view which is a good thing. So after awhile that is what I did and put a lot of work into it. Then I started to notice others replying only minutes after I posted and I knew their is know way they were reading the martial or watching the video. What a waste of time I thought. Doing all that research and hardly nobody looking at it so what was the point? Now I do understand that  we each have an opinion that really can not be back by facts and that is fine from time to time. Like this post for example. As for me though I think I am going to start putting in as many facts with reliable references as I can. That way when people who really want to understand/learn something they can. As for those who just like to talk crap(I have done it too) I will do my best to ignore it. I look forward learning new and wonderful things from everyone. So really why I joined this site was to support a friend/brother of mine. I also did it to learn new things as well!!1

Run on paragraphs from former jailbirds who don't take their meds is a big draw.

I'm just here to post selfies and tell you all what a cool cat I am.

The fact that I just referred to myself as a'cool cat' might seem to make me actually not a 'cool cat', however the fact I'm using the expression ironically makes me not only a 'cool cat' but hip to boot.

Don't sell yourself short... unnecessary indentation is quite the attraction too.

Hipster Douche who hangs out at beard contests thinking about which ironic trend to follow next. What poseur jerkoff you are.

How I got here and why I'm here are two different things.

I'm still here because it reminds me I'm not as screwed up as I thought...It's worse.

We call the manscapes, not beards, grandpa.

Get hip.

Zoo, you ask a question in hopes of an earnest reply, so here is my response. (BTW, I now rather share Yorkie's perspective.).

I was listening to Art and was curious if anyone shared my disdain for Noory.  A quick internet search led me here.  I lurked for a good year before joining, learning the forum culture.  Got sucked into politics and grew disenchanted with all the name-calling.  I still comment there occasionally but not as much as I used to do.

I don't listen to C2C and rarely poke through those threads.  I will be surprised if Art returns.  I like a number of people here, am disappointed by a few, ignore a lot (though I have no one on ignore).  I am serious by nature and much of the humor here ain't my cup of tea, so I no longer get pissed off about threads that seem juvenile.  Not every thread can or should be cosmology and civil discourse anyway!

Bottom line, I come here to read the posts of those I admire (who probably know who they are).

Kirk out.

Ask not what BellGab can do for you, ask what can I do to make this stupid forum funny.

I just got a few tyvek suits and enough food and water to last 6 months. I am forced to bug in and hope for the best. I am hoping 6 months of food is all I need to survive the ebola crisis.

VtaGeezer

I was told that my instructions on how to return to the 35th century would be posted here.
But my control pissed MV off and was banned, so I'm fucked.

Just because he called you a name?

I've seen his YT video when he had his kidney transplanted into a needy eel because someone forget his address. He gets really vindictive.

You'll need at least three Tyvek suits per day. And overshoes. 26 weeks, 78 suits. Minimum.

So really why I joined this site was to support a friend/brother of mine.

And yet, MV still hates you.  You can't win.

I grew bored of C2Cafter being a paying member for at least 5 years,  was looking for a place I thought would make it more interesting. Stumbled across this site and quickly learned why I was so bored of C2C. Never gave it much thought before, thought Noory seemed like a nice guy, was just boring and not Art Bell. After reading so much analyses of how he conducts every single interview with the exact same laundry list questions, it became obvious he's beyond boring, he truly doesn't care about C2C. The whole program is the perfect example of how a corporation can buy a great product, milk it for every last cent, and run it into the ground. Happens all the time in the real world.

As for the political bs on here. Hard to avoid chiming in when reading so much ignorance. Don't really care, its the same everywhere on the internet. Any message board you'll find the exact same debates and the exact same arguments.

The good thing is due to this site I've stumbled across a few great paranormal podcasts that are really interesting. So I listen to those now and maybe once a month turn on Knapp if he does something that sounds interesting. C2C is dead to me.

cuz it is the only site that Fire Fub allows. i understand that it is a bug with Fire Fub and that NO sites should be open to me using Fire Fub. i refuse to update it... even if it had an update.  8)

I took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.  Then I started reading the posts and noticed that there are quite a few interesting and talented people here (you know who you are, just don't let it go to your heads) so I decided to stick around for awhile.  Now I can't seem to leave for very long before returning, no matter how hard I try to resist the urge.  Damn you, BellGab!

You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!

That is classified information.

Bellgab needed someone whose every post is an affront to decency and with the resiliency of a Bobo doll.  Well, folks like that don't grow on trees, here on the Internet, so they settled for me instead.

So here I am.  I'm studying nights to become a member of the extended-pinkie crowd and/or the few people here they respect.

Redirect error at a defunct horse porn site sent me here by mistake.  While I was here though I noticed a new art form called Haiku for Noory-san, the mystical yet illuminating nature of which keeps me coming back.
