i think that's more likely a result of the no compete contract with sirius.  considering rowland sent out an email telling hosts on dmrn not to even mention it as "art's network", i'm not surprised art would refrain from making appearances.

Art's relationship with Keith goes back many years...I'm puzzled that Keith would also betray him. It could be that Jimmy took the CTC gig without consulting Keith.

My concern is that Jimmy might have signed some sort of contract with Keith and DMRN is stuck with him. Maybe an agreement of some kind?

DARK CITY needs to replace the 'Jimmy Church show'. Keith should rethink his decisions about the Spec Sheet and the Mallard Report. Changes need to be made. Questions need to be answered regarding Jimmy's loyalty. Where does Keith stand in all of this?

yes i got those emails but it was alright for a few hosts to mention it, even used artbell.com for blogs and ads as well as the twitter... so it was only a half truth....

Since Keith is running the DMRN and Fade to Black is exclusive to the DMRN I would think that Keith would have Jimmy on a leash.

Example

Jimmy: "Keith, I was asked to do Coast to Coast on Sunday."

Keith: "Jimmy, you're supposed to be the next Art Bell. What are you thinking? You can't do that. You'd be betraying Art."

Just sayin.... I'm sure Art isn't happy with Jimmy's decision. I don't think Keith betrayed Art but I wonder what Keith is thinking regarding the CTC appearance.

Whilst I know virtually nothing about this situation I don't think that Keith is backstabbing Art. Having said that given Jimmy's new employment he should be dumped from the Keith Rowland Dark Matter Radio Network immediately. Despite the fact that the KRDMRN has "nothing" to do with Art it is the vehicle for Art's return.

I think Art would be fully relying on Keith for his return, whether it be through the KRDMRN or my podcasting through artbell.com. Keith has the tech know how and has been testing the infrastructure needed to do a live show and Art would be relying on that. Art also would want to do live shows rather than just on demand downloads of podcast. If Keith is no longer in the picture then I think the chances of Art returning are zero.

As far as I can tell, Fade to black hits around 700 concurrent listeners at peak each night.. Which is about the same as u7 does during the same time slot..

Yeah, Art doesn't really care about much these days. I doubt he has even put any thought into his "new" show. He sure the hell didn't put much per-planing into Dark Matter. During the first week he wanted to open a time traveler line, low and behold he found out he didn't even have another line available. You think that would be something pretty basic.

1. premiere paid off xm to get art off the airwaves.... streaming issues were a prefect cover for both parties, a known issue and with a check you dont need to work for two years....

2. now they bringing jimmy over as the final nail in the coffin to show art money talks and they just simply have more of it. dark matter radio network has put too many apples in one basket and they just came and took it.

now i will go back to watching hoax youtube videos and other things that twist my mind.

It seems that if Art did not know, he does now. He just posted to his FB an announcement that he has pulled his page and asked to have his name removed from the KRDMRN. So it seems that the trust issue has done its damage.

If that's all true, then what would be the chance of Art taking the old Saturday John Wells slot?
4 days a month, maybe more if he wanted it. Live radio, listeners already in place. Plus what ever damage of ratings that has happened, just maybe AB's return part time could bring  ratings back up, which means more dollars? After all at the end of the day, isn't this what it's all about?  Money?
Also, if there is any animosity between Ab & Gn wouldn't that satisfy the feeling of a part time host having more followers than a full-time host?
