I'm not much of a TV fan, or of remakes for that matter, but this was one of the best sci-fi series of the 21st century.  Can't recommed it enough.

I'll give it a look at some point when I have the time.  The girl has a nose that looks like it has been broken a few times though.

It pushes the idea that God is involved in our lives so i assume you will like that.

Also, keep in mind during this selection that it is now legal for the government/administration to outright use propaganda  to US citizens on our soil, the Smith-Mundt Act was, basically, eliminated. Here is an article from Foreign Policy magazine on the issue (haha the CFR is telling the American people to watch out. We live in a bizarre times in Obamaland.) That "free press" so many assume might not be so (of course well before this much of the press already was reading corporate or government press releases as new but now, if the administration or an agency wished to do so, could outright lie and put out straight propaganda to the people (the best propaganda, of course, usually has some truth or realism in it.)

Something that needs to be monitored obviously, but I can see the ratonale considering all the immigrants who don't speak English -- a relevant issue.

Then, of course, there's this controversial point to be made. Namely, that sometimes government propaganda can be a good thing, even in your own country. John Ford, among others, helped win World War II with some truly wonderful propaganda. Yes, I said that and I meant it.

I agree that propaganda can be useful (one reason we have such a problem with the Muslims is that we have administrations, here and elsewhere, who refuse to identify the actual problem and instead try to fight against the tactics but not the cause of all the terrorism, rapes, etc) but one has to keep an eye on it- especially as the Federal government aggrandizes so much power and then starts to want to cede sovereignty to unelected, international bodies and organizations and the corruption increases. And when the propaganda, or even just simple PSAs, are used to increase our debt and make taxes go up. I have no problem with outreach on some things but all these campaigns and adds for government "assistance" of one type or another simply so that some bureaucrats can defend and increase their budgets? And they should only be in English. Fine if, as a citizen, you want to not speak English but a country, we aren't a nation really, needs to have at least SOME commonality or agreement. You don't want to at least learn English as a second or third language than you voluntarily give up your access to government give-aways and voting. I understand the argument Democrats make about getting people on the dole turns them into voters (for them) or, the more far-left, says government give-aways will help break the system so real "change" can happen but I don't think it is a good thing.

Yes, some kind of English requirement makes sense when applying for benefits. And the expectation that our public schools will educate kids in any other language but English is unacceptable. Schools have enough trouble when everyone is speaking English.

I saw an old PSA (in English, no SAP in Spanish) from the Social Security Administration broadcast in the 1960s. Kind of a how-to thing for applying. If you hadn't learned English during your working life, you were out of luck. Try that today.

Exactly! What could be more fascist than Hillary's pay for play scheme through the Clinton Foundation and the state controlling mainstream media in favor of a candidate who only seems to be able to indulge in demagoguery?!

For some reason, you feel the need to appear dumber than you actually are, which is already impressive. I know I'm impressed.

How do you explain the mid-air pulverization of tens of thousands of pounds of concrete?

The answer to this question is crucial, in order to properly absorb your... gravitas.

You're doing it again, comrade. Like many Russians, you're convinced that everyone you don't like is a fascist and never miss an opportunity to misuse a label. That's why Hitler and even Napolean are still top of mind in the motherland -- you're expecting the fascist Dutch or maybe the fascist Lithuanians to invade you any minute.

Detente is once again on hold between us after a one-hour trial run. Until you guys learn to play nice, I shall refrain from any diplomatic overture which could be misconstrued as an invitation or opportunity for further hostile and propagandistic behavior. The status quo remains, as it has for the last 71 years -- and counting.

Nice diversion but I'm not Russian. Just a red-blooded American who's grandfather died fighting fascism. I don't think he would appreciate what the country's become or that you would send us further in this direction. I don't think he would consider the sacrifice worth it if he knew we were just going to bend over for an out of control tyrant anyway. Good luck with your divide and conqueror politics but I think we're all seeing through it now like the used Kleenex it is.  ;D

Arguably even Napoleon, Hitler, Mussolini, Putin, etc had some concerns for their own people, in addition to their obvious personal ambitions, (now the definition of them and who was their "people" can cause real concern and certainly many of the actions of those leaders cause pause and worse! Sure not as bad as leftist ideas and solutions but still horrible and, yes, sometimes history makes strange bedfellows or as Obama Muslims might say 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' and when we had another ill President sold out too much because the communists beat the socialists in Germany with Allied efforts also, of course) but this idea of Obama and Clinton that it is not even about "their people" or country/nation as holding worth but the priority is on others is crazy. Unelected international organizations, illegals, international corporations and banks, "refugees" etc OVER their own citizens, veterans, or countries? And her claiming that so many people, if some polls are believed, that citizens are 'irredeemable?' By her own definition means there must be some 'solution' for them? And since, by definition can't be changed, what is that 'solution?' Even a leftist style re-education camp can't change someone deemed, by Hillary, 'irredeemable.'

Congratulations, I therefore dub thee an honorary citizen of The Russian Federation. I certainly doubt your grandfather would approve of your parroting ongoing Russian propaganda themes attacking the U.S. We didn't like or trust the Russians back in his day and not much has changed in that regard. He deserves much credit for being on the right side in that war -- our side.

What are you talking about? A weak, enfeebled President GAVE them the BLOC? And set up the Cold War, essentially due to his dotage and mistaken trust in Stalin. (i though am the first to admit without Uncle Joe, and the Russians, that that theater of the war would likely not have been won, at least as early.)

That we had a President who was ill, and presumably we are going to elect another, who not only started the Cold War but also gave away many European countries to the communists who, at the end of the day, ended up killing even MORE people than the national socialist leaders or japanese royalists that we allied with with him to defeat!

Your point doesn't relate to the point I was making, which simply dealt with another poster continually spouting from the Russian line of propaganda on the U.S. However, I also disagree with your historical view of how the Cold War began.

First, the U.S., unlike the Russians, had no territorial ambitions in Europe. Stalin was occupying Eastern Europe and made it clear that he wasn't leaving. The only way to avoid a bloody new war with the Russians in Europe and the Pacific, possibly even before we finished with beating the Japanese, was a deal to divide Europe.

That's very different than giving away half of Europe because of weakness. (Remember also that we had the bomb and the Russians didn't. We could have annihilated them.) The Cold War began when the Iron Curtain descended. That curtain was made in Russia by Russians, not Americans.

Trying to connect Hillary to your version of history doesn't make sense. Every American president since World War II has had the same set of problems with the Russians. The only remarkable thing about this election is a candidate who wants to play footsie with a bunch of thugs we've been fighting for over half a century.

Sigh it is getting late, to recall Malta etc. and then horrible stuff we allowed the Russians to do (but like the Obama  etc Muslims and illegals a sort of twisted karma that we need to accept.)
