I'm glad you asked him; I wasn't sure what narcotic it might be.

The classic diversionary conflation.  You know how many people have appeared on these threads, trying to feint their conservative leanings, only to come out of the closet?

Yeah, not buying it.  Especially with the "lib playbook" crack.  Nobody but whiny cons vex themselves about liberals.

Interesting shape to your argument here, dude- the circularity of it.

Fart's not a conservative, with no record of voting such. Fact.

I am just not in the habit of defending charlatans and con men with fake Chicago accents.

21 Egyptian laborers, all Coptic Christians, beheaded on a Libyan beach by ISIL on a beach so their blood would turn the Mediterranean surf red.  To "avenge Coptic persecution of Muslim women".  Will Egypt react the way Jordan did?

Never happen. Remember, we're talking Christians here. Oh, sure, he made a nominal effort of reaching out to the Coptic Christian community by visiting one of the parishes. But, that's far removed from actually risking Muslim blood in order to avenge their deaths. That would be tantamount to sending the Marines into northern Mexico because a few Mexican nationals grabbed some American's pets and made BBQ out of them.

I doubt it, Egypt has enough internal problems to be dealt with and they are Christians. What might be a bit more worrying, and maybe awaken some people, is how close this latest "rebel" beheading group is fairly close to mainland Europe and have promised to take the jihad to Rome. Now, obviously, I doubt the Pope or someone is finally going to wake up to the dangers of Islam and initiate some new Crusade but the civilian governments, and people, of the area might begin to question the immigration policy and reassess this odd goal of diversity and friendliness towards Islam. Maybe even question their acceptance and support for giving the Islamic terrorists Kosovo etc. But, my guess, is that the politicians will double-down on their speeches for acceptance and diversity despite these beheadings, the Copenhagen shootings, the France shootings, the UK beheading and bombing, the Spanish bombing, the riots in Sweden, the attacks and murders in Holland, etc. But the people are starting to wake up. If politicians do nothing than it will be up to the people to sort out the problems. Maybe the future of Europe will be insured by the hooligans and community direct action? Certainly more messy but at some point if the politicians won't defend you and your culture or country maybe you need to start defending yourself and your neighborhood? At least if voting beings not to matter. I don't know. We will see.....

Fact you can never stop terrorism... No matter how much you want too.... :(

Oh well, premature again.... Egyptian aircraft attack ISIS sites in response to the murder of the Coptic Christians.. Damn Muslims. What is really interesting, is that Egypt is in the back pocket of Obama (The Kenyan Muslim Marxist, Alynskisisist, Liberal, Muslim) and therefore the bad guys...But what's this?

It's a conspiracy, they're not doing what the Obama haters want; how dare they.

At least two waves of air attack by Egypt on ISIL targets in Libya today.  It's encouraging to see a second major Arab country act independently against the cultural syphilis that's ISIL.  Muslim action is the ONLY solution to ISIL.

Wrong as always. What you wont see if the American right calling Obama a war monger and baby killer. Because we value national security 1st, no matter who's in charge. What we don't value is Obama's destruction of the US economy and keeping it in an endless recession via bs mandatory government health insurance that was sold as free healthcare for all. 20 million less jobs, 10 million less insured. Yep. It's amazing what people will do when they have something to lose. Hence why installing liberty, free markets, elected governments,  in the countries of the middle east is the key to fighting Islamic terrorism. Removing tyrannical dictators who've been in charge for decades is the 1st step in a process that will takes decades. Doing nothing and allowing Islamic extremists to stay in charge is the key to letting the cancer grow.

Egypt is not "in Obama's pocket", actually the current folks in charge there (at least for now) are fighting against the Society of the Muslim Brothers and other radical groups. This statement might have been true with the government initially formed after Mubarak since it was heavily controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood but that is not the current situation (at least for now.) Egypt is currently imprisoning and fighting against those radicals- although Obama has ordered his State Department to still hold meetings with the banned Muslim Brotherhood so the situation could change and they could seize power again.

They got liberty in Iraq and elected Shiite govt that robbed its ally (us) blind,  set about driving all Sunnis out, linked up with Iran, and ran like like scalded dogs from ISIL.  They got liberty in Libya and turned it into Mad Max IV.  They got liberty in Egypt and elected the Muslim Brotherhood until the generals dropped the hammer.  We're still trying to get liberty in Syria.  Taking any bets on how that goes?  But maybe it's all because they didn't cut taxes enough.

Egypt is not 'in the back pocket of Obama'

Obama sided with the Muslim Brotherhood all along.  He's welcomed them into the White House dozens of times.  People like Huma Abedin and others have held key positions in his administration.  He was very pleased when the 'Bro's overthrew Mubarak and 'won' those 'elections'.

http://www.wnd.com/2012/10/radical-islamists-routinely-visit-white-house/

http://www.investigativeproject.org/3869/egyptian-magazine-muslim-brotherhood-infiltrates

Obama was angry when the Egyptian military kicked Morsi and the Brotherhood out of office - when the Morsi government began to follow the Erdogan example in Turkey of Islamizing the government, military, judiciary, media, and society.  Since that happened (the counter revolution) Obama has been distancing his regime from theirs and treating them much the same as he treats our other long-time allies (not well).

Current Egyptian leader al-Sisi has spoken out about Islamic terror and suggested Islam needs to reassess and reform.

This guy is on our side - the side of decency, moderation, tolerance, stability, civility.  And so, of course, Obama treats him like crap.

It was very nice to see him attack and bomb ISIS in the aftermath of their murder of the Copts..  Makes a person wonder how it is Obama didn't include our long-time ally, and most powerful military in the region (after Israel), in his coalition against ISIS

How can he be decent; or the population that urged more against ISIS? They're mainly Muslims.
Incidentally my initial reply was to FtF who said it would never happen; funny how no-one or him said he was wrong..again.

Of course Egyptian President al-Sisi opposes ISIS.  The current Egyptian government deposed the Moslem Brotherhood.  They are natural enemies of all the groups with links to, or who grew out of, the MB - al-Qaeda, Hamas, CAIR, ISIS.  And, apparently, enemies of Obama.

It's actually Big Media that's 'in the back pocket of Obama'.

Al-Sisi has gotten poor press here since kicking out Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood.  His comments about reforming Islam have barely been reported.  I was surprised the Huff Post was one of the outlets that popped up when I was searching for a link.

It shouldn't be a surprise when people are unaware of news that's been suppressed.  Why would anyone think al-Sisi is anything other than what's been reported by Obama's lackeys, unless they make it a point to know?

I have to ask again, if my observations about Obama and his ties and allegiances are incorrect, how is it Egypt is not in his anti-ISIS coalition?

We have the wrong person in the White House.  His world view is wrong.  He needs to resign.  And preferably live disgraced in exile.

Two waves are better than no waves; that much is true. But what are these token air strikes accomplishing? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They collapse a few empty buildings that ISIS abandoned weeks ago. They blow up a couple of pickup trucks.

Air strikes won't get it done. Everyone knows it. Had we deployed 20 - 30k combat troops in the Iraqi desert months ago, as I suggested, supplied the Kurds, as I suggested, and pushed the Iraqis to engage from the South, as I suggested, we wouldn't be having this conversation today. Those Christians would not have had their heads sawed off on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, that Jordanian pilot would not have been burned alive, and quite possibly, we would have saved that little American girl from her dreadful fate.

ISIS continues to spread, continues to grow stronger, and continues to laugh and mock our beloved Dear Leader, all the while committing the most atrocious murders imaginable and filming them for the whole world to see.

The world burns, while Dear Leader Obama, plays golf and prepares for his greatest challenge as president -- filling out his March madness brackets.

Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on beheadings of Coptic Christians in Libya

Ottawa, Ontario

15 February 2015

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement after learning that up to 21 Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Christians had reportedly been beheaded in Libya by groups linked to the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL):

“I am outraged and saddened by the beheadings of Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Christians in Libya by groups linked to ISIL. Coming soon after the savage burning of Royal Jordanian Air Force pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh, the threat posed by ISIL could not be clearer.

“On behalf of all Canadians, I offer my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed and to the Coptic community here in Canada, who will feel the loss especially grievously.

“Canada is proud to stand with its coalition partners in the fight against ISIL. We will continue to stand firmly together against these terrorists who threaten the peace and freedom we hold so dear at home and that we wish for those abroad.

“Barbaric acts such as this do not shake our resolve but, rather, confirm the rightness of our cause and the vital necessity of our mission against ISIL. We will not be intimidated.”

And in America, the White House issued a statement about "some folks" from Egypt that were killed by some "guys" in Libya.... or something to that effect.

You are right about the damn fool in the White House not doing a damn thing.  And about all this having been preventable.  He said he couldn't find an ally on the ground, yet rebuffed our long-time allies the Kurds repeated pleas for weapons.  They are trained and are good fighters and are willing to take ISIS on, or at least defend Kurdish territory in Syria and Iraq.

He's a liar and is not operating in the best interests of this country.  Again.  We have to ask ourselves why.

As far as air strikes, a good first start would to pound ISIS military targets (weapons depots, command and control infrastructure, fuel supplies, homes of their leaders, etc) in their 'capital' of Raqqa, Syria 24 hours a day.  And shut down the highway to Mosul - kill  anything that moves on that road, sever their supply route, and see how long they last.

These 10 to 15 sorties per day are the equivalent of Bill Clinton's bombing of that aspirin factory in Sudan.

Well, apparently it could be made clearer, because Obama still doesn't get it.

Not that he's going to switch sides, no matter what happens.  He hates the West and sides with radical Islam, period.  He's an ideologue, and they don't change.

That's what could not be clearer.

I think he said something about blaming Christians and the Crusades, then went golfing.

Not all Muslims are the same there are some very large, major sectarian divisions and many other small ones within Islam (as I'm sure you know.) And then you got the various "royal" motivations, family feuds, clans, ethnic/racial divisions, etc. Not saying that Muslims are good but some are worse than others. Obama prefers the more radicals ones and definitely has Sunni sympathies (hence he exhortations during the Arab Spring and the rise of ISIS and the destabilization in Egypt, Libya, etc meetings with Muslim Brotherhood, wanting to give arms to radicals, etc.) Until recently when, due to politics, he has been forced to come out against ISIS and the various beheadings. When it was done in Syria primarily (often against Christians or religious minorities) Obama was fine with it and even some arms were sent/given to those "rebels" because at that point Assad was his "bad guy."

Crazy as it sounds- I would rather deal with Persians (Iranians) as they (the people, not the Mullahs) are usually more educated than these Salafist Sunni types who have no history or culture but suddenly gained wealth and prominence in the region due to oil exploration and Western support (arms deals and buying their products.)

The Persians are much more advanced culturally and socially.  Looking at a map, Iran is a natural ally of the US.

It's a shame they have the government they have.  As eager as Obama was to support the radical elements of the 'Arab Spring' movements, he completely ignored the Iranian people during their 'Spring' event.

Well, come to think of it, he ignored the other 'Arab Springs' too until those movements were hijacked by the radicals.  Then he jumped in.

He could likely care less. The only reason he is intervening, in his late and very limited way, at all is because some of the press the situation is getting and so he must be seen to do something. Even if it is limited air strikes and carefully parsed press conferences where Islam won't be mentioned.

He would rather take another vacation, separate from his wife as usual, on the tax-payer's dime. And then, grudgingly, give in and have conferences about "extremism." Likely consisting of collective hand-wringing over "extremism" and won't even mention the word "Islam" but, most assuredly, will mention apparent threats from "homegrown" veterans, white people, anti-BGLT people, campus rape, or even racist police, etc. Anything but not radical Muslims (or ultra-violent drug cartels across our open-border who also enjoy beheadings.)

According to his minions if we just gave ISIS members jobs these problems would go away because you can't just kill them.*

And 45 more people are burned alive in Iraq by ISIS. Iraq is our responsibility no matter whether we were right to wrong to go in there in the first place. .  We owe it to those poor people to leave their country in better shape than the way we found it.  If the President is not up to the task then he should resign.  How many more people must be brutally murdered before we lift our hand to help them?

This President needs to go.  He is doing nothing but hurting this country.
