Did anyone catch the Dr. Brian Weiss show a few nights ago where George, rather matter-of-factly, stated that he thinks he probably placed all the lost human knowledge in the Caycee vault at the base of the Sphinx in a past life?

Of course George wasn't a farmer or stonecarver in a past life, he was nothing less than the key to all human understanding and the meaning of life itself.

After he announced this fact I believe he did an endorsement for colon cleanser.

Yeah - I heard that.  And yeah - it made me wince.  But it never occurred to me that he was implying that he was the source of what was i the box - just that he put it there. (and no, I'm not at all convinced there's any box)  If I'd heard it that way, I think I'd have done more than wince.

apparently, our libraries aren't immune from the "dumbing down" of society.  on the contrary, perhaps it is in libraries that this dumbing down first becomes evident in a society.

What I hate about the public library is the people who use the computers to watch porn. That's just awful. I don't like violence, but when i see that I want to bitchslap them for doing that. It's a library! Libros not pornos!

Yea. That is why I said it. I think the porno viewing in the library is also ironic. that's why i said libros not pornos. People go to libraries for different reasons these days. It just bugs me because there are lots of kids running around the library where I go. It's not like there is a special "adult" section.

I actually did a project on this in high school and the supreme court of course ruled child porn as a violation of library use, but it is alright, and this is the only child porn that is legal, which is computer generated looking child porn.
