I remember someone bringing up the Indian reservation thing back in the Dark days of November, along with Art broadcasting from a ship (ala "Pirate Radio"), from Mexico, and from the PI.  None of those things have come to pass,  nor will they.  If Art comes back, he'll do so via the internet as he has said.  What will happen when he gets a listenership measured in only thousands world-wide, with a volume of calls (90% of them cellular) to match?

I think the Skymaster jock and I agree on the outcome of that scenario.

Your right about the Cell Phone I think. But I beleive that even on AM radio most call in shows are going to get 90% cellular calls. I know of exactly 2 people who still have a land line.

Seriously Art is just going to have to accept cell phones if he is going to do a radio or podcast show.

I know some people think Art won't get a lot of call ins. I think that is true short term but as word spreads, if Art hangs with the show calls will increase. I don't like the guy but Tom Lykos gets plenty of call ins on his show. Art Bell has/had a much bigger audience than him. It will just take time.

The other worry is that Keith will be unable to handle the load and be able to maintain a stable feed for Art's new show. I mean if John Wells was having issues,just think of the problems Bell will have. But again Lykos is able to handle a very large demand, so there is a model for success.

I remember signing up with them in high school.  It was such a deal-I think 14 cassettes (hey at least it wasn't 8 tracks) for 99 cents or something equally cheap.  It really was a great business model.  Unfortunately, publishers clearing house had a similar business model with books, that ended up costing my mother a bundle when she wound up in a nursing home, and the hard cover books kept coming.

Thank you Fort Rock for your sentiments, especially if indeed you are truly of Native American ancestry. I learned about ways elders teach the children long ago but only witnessed the male part of that family and extended tribe male ceremonies behind closed doors. Certainly more sacred than any "white man" church ceremony in relation to the balance of life.

I want Art and his family to enjoy the next claimed 1.5 yrs to see what develops on this forum. I hope all Native American Tribes haven't developed what may be considered a disease in future called "masterbation". It seems to boil down to asking the right question after contemplating what looked like a twinkle in her eye. This equation may be bigger than we can figure out though working together. After all, Armageddon may happen during my next sleep.
