And I want to add: He seems to put a lot of effort into trying to sound "cool" instead of just being cool and focusing on the topic. Even when he does focus on the topic, he's still superficial, almost like you know who. I really hope he won't ever be Jorch's replacement. I'm concerned about that since they seem to be keeping him on weekends enough. But if he were Jorch's replacement, he may literally be his replacement.

A few comments about last night "special section" Marine guest:

1)  Twenty years of service and he's still an O-3?  He must have some real dogshit OERs.

2)  He told us a couple times about the high degree of compartmentilization in his outfit, yet he seemed to have a wide range of knowledge relative to several topics (like Kim Jong-un's psych profile and Japanese development of giant fighting robots) that would seem to be outside the need to know for a guy stationed on Mars.  What he didn't know was the practical side of serving/having served in the US military, including VA and retirement benefits Church asked him about.

3) His description of ground combat with the reptoids marching to slaughter sounds suspiously like that in Anderson's "Destroyermen" series of fantasy/alternative history novels where WWII era USN personnel fight an unsavory lizard lot called the Grik. (Great series btw, for those into that genre.  I read them in airports and on airplanes, always good for a few stares from your fellow passengers.)

4) I was intrigued by his response to Church's question about his unit patch.  Yes, there was a patch, but it was classified and naturally he didn't have one.  I'm not saying there aren't classified unit insignia/patches, but I never saw one in any of the black programs I worked.  In fact, it was often just the opposite.  "Patchology" was something of an art in those programs, lots of symbology and clever image/word play to create an unclassified patch for highly classifed programs.  They'd show up on ballcaps, coffee mugs, even unit softball jerseys.  I think C2C had a guest some years ago who did a book on unit/program patches from classified programs, some he claimed to know, others he didn't.

5)  There is not, nor has there ever been, a US military aircraft with the designation "TR-3B".  It's a figment of someone's imagination, like the F-19 and Aurora.
