Sounds like it. Much of what she says does not coincide with biblical doctrine.

I thought her concept is that the bible is a group of selective books joined together to support some power elite and that Jesus was originally set out to stop that sort of thing and to bring the possibility of enlightenment to all of humanity.  She said the Brahmins were after him because he brought their mystery teachings to all castes. 

There may very well be books in the Vatican library that contained more of his teachings and should have been included in the bible.

Footnotes are only as good as the sources they represent, however.  A few years back I read a heavily footnoted UFO book by a guest I heard on C2C, the majority of the footnotes referred back to other books the guy had written and/or sources of dubious pedigree.  I'm thinking it was either Redfern or Randle.

Yes.  I suppose one of the best reads for matters involving Jesus might be Bart Ehrman, as mentioned by someone else.  My husband has all of his books, I think.  I, though, actually appreciate the Theosophists and would like to know a bit more about the various mystery schools and think this author can probably give me what I want.

The books about Jesus described as apocryphal are ones whose origins cannot be traced to the 1st century AD. The Gospel of Thomas, for example, dates from the early 2nd century AD at best.

Surprised nobody mentioned the funny story Jimmy said early on that he was talking to somebody and out of no where Jorch came to the table and joined the conversation. After Jorch left Jimmy and his guest just laughed as they were having a deep in depth talk about something but Jorch came in and disrupted everything and ruined it.
