Jimmy Church

Jimmy consistently claims that his show gets 2000-5000 tweets on Twitter per night.  I'm listening to episode 251 with David Sereda right now where he just said that and that they "blew past that" number already.

He's wrong.

I spent some time in the last two weeks learning Python and how to download Tweets and do network analysis on them.  Anything with #F2B or #F2BQ is what I'm downloading.  There are a few hundred tweets per night.  It's also a very insular group, and over the last 10 days, less than 300 unique people were tweeting about it.  I say its insular because first I extract people who use those hashtags, then I extract all those Twitter users' followers lists.  If a diverse group of people are tweeting using those hashtags, you'll see a lot of different groups of people separate out in the network graphs.  But you don't in this case.

How many people are using #fadernauts ?  :P

MV/Liberace!

And how many of those 300 are from Russia?

That one's longer, so I figured that most people would be using the #f2b more.  I can add that hashtag to my nightly list to extract tweets, though.

A lot of the twits are.  Seriously, I didn't know what you guys were talking about when you first posted about this a few months ago, but then since I extracted @jimmychurch's followers manually since it was faster due to Twitter's rate limits, I saw A LOT of just egg icons with Russian names.  I have done a few dozen other people manually, and I've not seen the same thing.  It was pretty sad ...

So, if I boil all of this down, basically what you're saying is, Jimmy Chooch is a star?

Finally. Something I can hang above my toilet.

;D
That's just gonna make a mess.  Put it in the men's urinal at the Greyhound bus station.

Not to mention those individuals that were on their way to, from, or having a squat in the shithouse where Jimmy was broadcasting outside of.

There's a marketing opportunity here. Jimmy Church urinal cakes.

Is there a toilet equivalent for Jorch branded paraphernalia.

How about a JC hand dryer? Plenty of hot air. Ships cheap from Russia!

I suggest, where the initials JC are used in reference to Church in this forum, that they should be changed to JS (Jimmy Stench) and not soil the good initials of JC, God's ★★★★★★★★★★ General.
Stench be gone to the cornfield.

The callers are always the same people, I imagine that the tweets are the same.

Roswells, Art

Isn't the problem that a large percentage of his followers are not even real people? If his strategy is to get actual people to listen to him because "hey, wow, what is this? Maybe it's good because he has so many followers. I'll give it a listen" then I don't see how that would work. After listening to it for 20 minutes they are sure to turn it off.

He asked his listeners to open as many instances of his show as they could to boost the numbers. Was it just to impress his boss?

Well isn't that what a man of integrity would do?

Does he have a job?  Or are these 'casts designed to make him money?

Two guys from down south somewhere (Tennessee I think). The same two guys that live a few miles between themselves. They were astonished when Jimmy let them talk to each other. Jimmy was astonished that they had the same accents and sounded similar. Welcome to the fader-not Nation!

;D

This is what I've asked and can't get a straight answer to.

Fake it til ya make it, right Jimmy?

I'm waiting 'til he gets a caller named Chimmy Jurch.

5 minutes of the same guy saying "awwwriiiiight" to himself = radio gold.

Gnoory: It worked for me!

No that anyone noticed but over at Jimmy Church's "KGRA studio"- Church tweeted this tonight

Severe computer issues that cannot be overcome tonight....tweeting on my phone... we love you, though!!! We'll be back on Monday. #f2b #kgra

Guess there was no show for no one to listen to.

cweb

Damn that elusive anykey.

jc is a creep and is still insinuating he and Art are connected somehow.  Check out one of his tweets and pay attention to the photoshopped web pages on Art's screen.  This is seeming like stalker-ish like behavior to me. As if Art would be looking at timmy's website.
