I had only met Fifi once when she was in town on business.  My impression of her was that she is a very generous woman- and I am not surprised that she would reach out to MV.

Her father owns several vineyards and wineries in Bordeaux. Hence her monied status. But she doesn't just throw it around, she expects it to be used wisely. Its why the circle of trust (not sure about Justin) have all recieved gifts; erm, other than Senda.
