Hey, George...LC hasn't posted since war was declared yesterday. You don't think he's on the road to see you in person is he? I wouldn't want any problems...you have mentioned physical threats in the past...

The police station is 2 blocks from here & in the mood I am in about him, if he shows up here I'll throw him down the stairs or spray his face with Raid or something if he attacks me.
I thwarted 3 muggers on two occasions when I lived in Oakland with flea bombs. I took one out of the box and held my thumb to the plastic clip & told each of them to go ahead and try to mug me & they were going to get a face full of Raid.
One had asked me for the time while I was trudging up the hill with my cart of groceries at 11:30 pm & the boxes of flea bombs on top and started following behind me practically on top of me & I whipped around ( having grabbed the can & put it in my hand ). He mumbled something about he wasn't doing anything and took off down the hill.
The other two would be muggers followed me into my building. I took the elevator & they took the back stairs & we're waiting for me at the door when I started to come out on the third floor.
This time I had both hands with flea bombs in them & did the same thing. They ran past me down the stairs in the front of the building and we never seen again.

[ My Mother was obsessed with the idea that * I * was bringing fleas into her apartment & kept giving me flea products, yet right down the hall from her were people who had dogs and cats and the dogs went back and forth & in an out of the lobby every day. There were other dogs in other places in her 8 story building as well.
I finally got her to stop when I went to Target and bought a complete set of brand new clothes and shoes and put them all on in my bathroom and went out my door and drove to the city and showed her the receipts. I came into her apartment & she started in on me that my clothes smelled of cats & when I showed her the receipts, she never broached the subject again.
She was also obsessed with and blamed Kathy for calling up her phone, waking her up & hanging up & not saying anything for over 30 years until she called one night when I was with Kathy all night and told her that we'd been watching movies for 2 hours and Kathy hadn't moved out of her chair in all that time. My Mother finally accepted the fact that Kathy and I were always going to be a couple and stopped being mean to both of us about her about 2 years before she died.
And people wonder why I HATED the woman ?? ].

That night I told the apartment manager & within a few days new security gates were put in at the two entrances of the building and a sliding security gate was put in for the garage parking.
Oakland could be a rough place at times. I lived there six years & got mugged and hit over the head with an antique replica firearm late one night and had 13 stitches & a lump that's still on my head today.

As to Pissy Chris, he has been told never to come here on several occasions. He's probably using his Mommy's dress as a crying towel because I'm being so mean to him.

Interesting technique using the Raid bombs as a self defense device...never thought of that before...are the effective?

Both Kathy and I have used flea ( and the combination roach/flea bombs ) when we've had a flea infestation & put them down on the carpet and didn't get out of the apartment fast enough or got a shot of the stuff in the face accidentally and spent the next 10 minutes vomiting up mucus and choking.
The basic ingredient in the stuff is the same stuff that the Nazis used in the showers of the death camps to kill Jews, gypsies and others.
It's industrial insecticide and can KILL you if inhaled, even in a small amount.
Pets too which is why you can't leave them in the house either.
It acts like nerve gas and has some of the same properties.
