i guess i take it personally because the forum is a product that i own and administrate, so it could be argued that the forum's culture is indirectly attached to my approach.  in administrating the forum, i've always made a conscious effort not to engage in nakedly preferential treatment, so when you offer up repeated vague critiques of how this "clique forum's" social structure doesn't suit you, you're going to get a response because i believe you're wrong.  i don't know why you're surprised i'd respond, frankly.  and what specific event has led you to view this as a "clique" forum?  i'd like to address that if you'd be willing to provide the information.

here's a brief lesson on normal human social interaction, whether in real life or on the internet.  when "person 1" has years of history pleasantly communicating and interacting with "person 2", both will tend to view one another in a more forgiving and familial light than they would view someone who doesn't have that history with them.  it's just human nature.  if you can't understand why your friend from high school is more likely to appreciate you than some slob you met for the first time at work a week ago, then you have some serious problems understanding basic human interaction.  what you call a clique i call normal human behavior.  if, one day, a new bellgab user is without cause pummeled with salvos of "get lost" or "find another thread to post in", then you can legitimately call this a clique forum... but i suspect you can't find anything of that nature around here. 

summary:
of course there is more familiarity between people who have interacted over a longer period of time.  that's life, so i don't get why you expect social norms to be so different online.  perhaps these are issues you need to work out within yourself.

That was hard for me to understand, that people actually thought I was being serious, when started the vile posts and clique crap awhile back. To me it was a gag.

I don't see any bullying going on here.  I see a 62 year-old man who tells the world his life story in agonizing detail and refuses to take responsibility for his life.  Using his dead mother's credit card.  Unpaid fines.  Yelling at his girlfriend in videos.  Anyone who puts that stuff on a discussion forum is going to get feedback.   This man has supplied so much personal information that, if I so desired (I do not), I could buy an airline ticket to San Francisco and knock on his door tomorrow afternoon.  Anyone could.  A biographer could easily find enough information on this site, in Senda's own words, to write his biography.  If he left Bellgab and signed up with another forum, and did the same things, he'd get the same result.

Yep, it took me awhile to learned this lesson; its  MV's business, of course he's going to take it serious and didn't need me snipe'in at him. Its not for him to understand my lame gags, its for me to understand his rules of conduct and respect them and give him respect 'cause he's the Boss man.

I've come up from the unmoderated world of Usenet newsgroups, so rationalize my behavior by not understanding that a Business/Forum about Dave sucks and the wacky world of Art Bell and company had unwritten rules of personal conduct. My bad, Father MV please forgive my past transgressions and help me become a better member of the Bellgab community.

I think you’re good at what you do and have built a robust, eccentric community here, and I have nothing to gain from blowing smoke up your arse.
However, I was mistaken in thinking you had checked out as far as giving a shit about a lot of stuff here, from hearing you on the GabCast.
So I offered my “opinions” on the culture of the site, on what we can all agree is a ridiculous thread.

The bullying part is making harassing posts over and over again using the same few lame and insignificant  examples (using his dead mother's credit card.  unpaid fines.  yelling at his girlfriend etc) to make a case that he refuses to take responsibility for his life.

Believe it or not, I'm Fan of Falkie, but also encourage him for my entertainment. And part of that entertainment is the conflict this thread generates. Can't you guys come up with something new, I certainly could, but it's not my nature to pick on the disabled.

Oh, please. This thread is hardly a gauge considering that Falkie put himself out there through his videos and rambling posts. He can censor comments on his forum or YouTube channel, but not here. Last I checked, there were over 200 people that voted for the thread to stay on (which isn't even a debate), yet you're discounting their opinion on the matter. Are they a herd too, in your view, or is it just the naysayers?
