That's a bit scary.
Maybe he's channeling me or something. ;)
i'll have to listen to it today.
Listen to last night's too.  Richard C. was on with a weekend host a couple of weeks ago, but last night was his come-back appearance with Noory.  I guess he was let out of time-out.

Here's an Art Bell / C2C classic to take you into the weekend - from the High Desert:

Christopher Cross - Ride Like The Wind

I have tried to give you a fairer hearing of late- but you are still a master of the Argumentum ad Verecundiam.
A tired rhetorical conceit on any message board.

And how do you know I am appealing to the testimony of an authority outside my field?  Unlike Mr. Senda, I offer no clues to my personal life.  None.

I can think of nothing more tedious than listening to George Noory interviewing anyone - or Richard Hoagland being interviewed by anyone.  Put them together and you have a lethal combination.

Oh, I know, everyone is a subject expert on the Internet.
This ain't my first rodeo, Doctor.
There is no point posting one's real-life credentials here, so I can understand the compulsion ... not to.

I am associated with a lot of healthy people, certainly healthier than I am. And I have never heard a one recommend a bean diet.

Read the WebMD article.  No one suggested eating beans all the time.  Since they're high in fiber and anti-oxidants, they should be PART of a healthy diet.  Not the entire diet. Not the majority of the diet.

And when it come to poor people, beans are a natural because they're CHEAP.  Dried beans, which come in many varieties, cost next to nothing.  And they're not fattening.

Healthy, low in calories, cheap.  Any financially-embarrassed person who does not include them in their diet is very foolish and irresponsible.

So, you have devoted many years of your life to internet discussion boards. That's very impressive, Mr. Fart.  Your family must be very proud.

At least I'm not swinging from the nutsac of a semi-retired talk-show host.

A do nothing, obese wacko with delusions of grandeur and an Apple obsession is somehow better?

I didn't know Pal-o-Poop hung out with Leno.
He's supposed to be coming back with a car show.

Two weeks, folks.  We're down to two weeks.  I'm biding my time, on the edge of my seat waiting for the expo and those interviews.

[attachimg=1]

I'm looking forward to your big reveal too, Falkie - whatever the hell it is!

That's a little dramatic isn't it?  Maybe Falkie can arrange to emerge from a giant alien pod right before the interview and have a replica of Stonehenge descend from the ceiling during the interview.

Does that mean you're going to hit him up for a new pair of glasses, or just go whole hog and see if he'll buy you Prius?

A ration of stale Doritos from 1987 should be Leno's donation.

It gets a bit old hearing Falkie and his goons saying poor people can't afford not  to be fat. It's part of their victim mentality.  Nothing is ever their fault.  People are fat because they make bad food choices and eat too much of it.

No one said he needed to be fat, but calorie for calorie it does cost more for "healthier" foods.   How many calories consumed is a whole different story.   I say "healthier" in quotes because I don't particularly believe that "eating healthy" is really something one can or should do in terms of type of foods eaten.   If you can balance both the type of calories you take in and how many you take in, it won't matter if you're eating McDonald's or a salad topped with salmon.

And yes, bitchface kinch (I love calling people like you names), Falkie's time is valuable to him.   You and I can't put a number on that - he can.   If he'd rather eat something fast, that's his business.

Hear that Falkie Art said he is doing interviews in early July. Time to sell the Prius.

onan

I could give a shit less if Falkie is over weight or obese. Nobody gets out of here alive.

It costs no more to make healthy food choices than it does to choose the unhealthy. Eating healthy isn't only for the rich. As for beans, they are one of the best nutritional values out there... carbs with high fiber... hardly a better food choice to make.

I don't know how you guys can continue to make this argument.  You want healthy?  Go buy organic produce.  Tell me that that doesn't cost more than regular produce.

It doesn't really matter *what* you eat, as long as you get the right balance of nutrients and you consume only what your body needs.   You could probably eat cardboard and it would be better for you than 10 buckets full of ice cream.

I do agree with you though, onan, if he wants to be fat, that's his business.   At this point, I kind of feel like it's a trademark of the Falkie / TGFP brand.   I mean, who could imagine Chris Farley as a skinny guy?   How much work has Seinfeld's "Newman" gotten since he lost all his weight?

Ahh throw in a curved ball to try and support your argument. No-one but you mentioned buying organic food. But if you believe that eating processed fat based crap is equitable with fruit, veg and white meat, I can't help you.

True. But Obesity isn't a result of balance. Obesity is the result of unfettered greed, low self respect, denial and lack of excercise.

That would depend if your heart and arteries were already so clogged up that one more scoop of fat would make little difference to your imminent coronary.

Oh. I work with a young bloke who lost eight stone in 18 months. That's a 112 pounds. He showed me the photos. He now goes to the gym 3-4 nights a week. Cut out the sugar (Cola etc), eats when he's hungry rather than because his mouth is empty, and eats fruit veg. So yeah, it can be done.

Buying food isn't complicated. To use the term organic when buying vegetables, sadly isn't just redundant it is a mild form of obfuscation. Buying produce is cheaper than buying meat; and certainly cheaper than the empty calories within the snack aisle.

Tomatoes are usually around 1.40 a pound. Potatoes are less than a dollar a pound.  Onions and lettuce are also under a dollar per pound.

Fuck, I'm posting about shopping for vegetables. I now hate Falkie and Drone.

Drone, I disagree with you at times. I sometimes think you are playing the argument. I do get irritated at times, at the same time I think you are one of the brightest members on or in this forum. I may not think of you as a bud, but I do respect your presence here.

Wrong.  Time is money, even to Falkie.

I'll probably regret this but . . . how does Falkie turn his time into money?
