K so you dont like Falkie as an interviewer or podcaster, why keep listening to his podcasts and move on? Pretty much you have become exactly what you are complaining about.

Oh I won't be listening again. I only listened to give the guy a fair crack. But I object to him wrongly slagging off others (Including me) who initially tried to help him.

Perhaps another way to approach this Falkie, after deleting your 2 show test, is maybe having the debut show a call-in show during a pre-determined time of say 3 or 4 hours but not aired live initially. Then from that footage recorded you could edit as you feel appropriate as the hour show you want posted. I'm looking at this from the view that you're looking like it's being done w/you as a one-man-show w/no other producer or manager there to take care of the technical and content glitches you seem to be facing. Sort of like another trial run for you that allows further feedback and help in understanding what broadcasting is all about in real-time.

I understand the above may seem like a personal attack on your Psyche and foundation of beliefs. Certainly not easy for someone that insults caller as you did. Most likely under that extra padding, you're a reasonable and pleasant person inside unless you want to be a "blow hard" like Rush Limburger giving me reason to purposely not listen.

Perhaps when you work up to a live show, you can have a mixing console w/maybe a 5 or so minute delay before final output so a guest cough can be edited by you in real time w/visual display of the section to edit. A juggling act for shure, that I don't know how Art did it w/such ease seamlessly except it was a learned skill using some technology. I could probably figure something out using compression and limiter to a degree, but maybe there's some kind of software that does it better once converted into the digital domain.

Speaking of tertiaryimam, he left because I made the bad assumption ("ass of not u just me") that he was double-timing here as DigitalPig. I have since personally contacted him, begged forgiveness, publicly apologized on this forum and personally contacted him and begged forgiveness again, but he insists he's gone for good now.

If that's the case, it boils down to one of two possibilites: A) he was on his way out the door anyway, or wanted to change his handle, and this was the excuse; or B) he's a delicate little flower who would have died off within a week or less even if he did come back.  Either way, I wouldn't grieve about it.  After all, I'm still here.

I have signed up for nice cast and am waiting for them to tell me how to use it to broadcast from iTunes or audacity or whatever. But I'm awfully tired of people jumping on me because I lost my temper. Do you people have any idea how many times I've heard radio talk show guys go nuts at callers on the air over the last 57 years ? Ira Blue, Morton Downey, Joe Pyne, Pete Franklin, Ray Taliafero and a host of others. People are still human and their patience reaches a critical level and they go off like a steam kettle.

I am a patient guy at heart. If I weren't I wouldn't be working my fingers off to try to get this whole thing to work with a bit of help from 2 people now in phone calls.
Nor would I be sitting here since 8am waiting for comcast to show up to fix my cable.

And as I said, I do get into arguments with people when they REFUSE to listen to the facts of an issue. Its like trying to talk to a committed life long radical liberal. No amount of facts will change their mindset.

As to a mixer I have been looking into it but they'r expensive. I only have so much a month budgeted for stuff. Last month was the tripod and a few other things. This month is software. Mixer probably next month but supposedly nice cast does all that one its own. My tech guy can separate channels if I do an non broadcast podcast. The other person I talked to at length today on Skype says getting a podcast up live is really hard work if you're trying to do it on your own. I will be getting help from that person as well. All things happen in due time. It takes money and the effort needed to get it done. And the will.

I ain't perfect either and having no authority as responsible for your behavior as a Supervisor certified in since 1973. I can only suggest directions that are comfortable to you while not restricting your freedoms.

Glad you understood. Diet, sleep, and other cares may be more important to you right now. At least a couple of digestion and sleep/dream cycles before spending your money and before more technologies can be investigated. Even a week doesn't seem unreasonable for the basis of this thread. IOW, there's probably more minds out there that can add here with your further efforts posting. Like I said somewhere else here, I have a technical background in scientific things, but not broadcasting per se, especially internationally in real-time. That takes the art of talk and someone experienced in it behind a microphone.

The noise canceling Microsoft headphones I'm ordering does have a mute button so I can push it if I cough but there are times it comes on me without warning. I just looked at the bus schedule. Every time I schedule going to the er, someone calls me or something gets in the way. IF I hadn't had to wait for Comcast today I would have gone to the er today. I need antibiotics. I was on the phone with Comcast and had a sudden coughing jag come upon me without warning. But the headphones with a mike will help. I usually get stuff from Amazon within a week. If Comcast doesn't show up within the next hour or call me, I'm going to shower and do another podcast without anyone else and a video too. I'm bored to death without the tv because it helps me sleep particularly when I watch Ancient Aliens.
Maybe I should get a copy of Carl Sagan's Cosmos. His voice always used to put me to sleep within minutes.

There are many other "hams" out there licensed longer in years than I've been alive and groups of them that talk daily. I learn many wisdoms from them that can only be learned from age and experience. It's OK to listen, but interacting w/them is not a good idea (at least before one also earns the extra class license to legally speak on those frequencies and puts up a station to do so).

Sleep sounds good. If you meant emergency room by er for MD antiobiotic prescription, perhaps a clinic w/o MD but Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner can accomplish that @ reduced cost of Hospital overhead.

Its not the cost. Its time. If I had a car ( jointly owned ) I would have gone already. It takes 2 or 3 hours each way on the bus.
The County Hospital is 3 miles away but their quacks almost killed me 5 years ago and I refuse to go there unless I'm in a major accident or something.
I go to John Muir because they know what they're doing.

IMHO... He was being unfairly bullied by a few, and should of been given the respect and freedom to do his own thing. Falkie was harmless, it was the rude behavior of others that caused the problems.
