I use KeePass (http://keepass.info/) to generate and store passwords.  Been using it for many years now, and find it an adequate solution for my needs.  Use it on my PC and nexus 4.  Much easier only having to remember one password for the database, rather than many for the plethora of sites I use.

For Google/Gmail, I use two step authentication.
