Given the sad news today I thought it would be apt to listen to the music that I always turn to when I'm feeling a little depressed. My teenage years were spent listening to this stuff (mostly grunge and alternative rock) and those years were an emotional rollercoaster ride for me.

Very 90s. I once made out with a girl and that song was playing on repeat so I have fond memories of it.

You mentioned this song the other day. It is my ringtone til this very day. Not my favorite song ever but the intro always makes me smile and I like to hear it when the phone rings.

Oh, you weren't joking.     Man, that is such a trip... I have always been that little singular bee.  Guilty pleasure:  I still get hi & sing that album from top to bottom sometimes.

I wore that album out (La Sexcorcito - Devil Music Vol. 1) on repeat in my Gran Torino, the titles were worn off the cassette when I finally threw it away.  Greatest times ever.

I actually grew up listening to 60s and 70s rock in my dad's car so I appreciate that music too.

I have been indoctrinating my 5 year old, who was starting to hum and sing Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, with my music.

Out of curiosity, I looked up 4-Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry; I was pleased to see that she is far more than a one-hit wonder:  she has been actively involved in production and recording, working with some big-name artists.  Coolness.
