Radio Talk Show Hosts you miss...

Having just responded to the talk show radio voices I hate thread, it made me think of someone I really miss hearing, which was Bruce Williams on his TalkNet show.   I used to listen to him as I was going to bed when I was a kid.

Some of you may hate me for this, but I miss Michael Smerconish on terrestrial AM. I know he wasn't a righty (kinda lefty really), but his show was always interesting to listen to.

I think Larry King was a lot better on radio, with the five-hour shows out of New York. If you ever get a chance to hear one of his classic shows with Danny Kaye, don't pass it up.

I also miss Bruce Williams.

        As an insomniac kid in 1987, I remember being bowled over by how much better Larry's fill-in at the time(heart surgery for Larry) Tom Snyder was at simply interviewing people. King seemed more concerned with getting to Duke Ziebert's than pursuing any probing questions. It got worse with time. By 1991-92 he was clearly mailing in his radio show.

Ian was OK with me.  I know others couldn't put up with some of his quirks and ego but at least he put some effort into a show and could carry on an interesting conversation with a guest.  I'd take Ian any day over Noory and Wells.  By a wide margin.

Hey people first time posting on here...Does anyone remember Chuck Harder? He had a daytime show similar to Art's original show. He broadcast out of some old hotel in N. Fla. You could stop by buy his books, have supper and watch him broadcast his show.

Chuck Harder broadcast from White Springs, Florida - one of the original Florida tourist traps of the 1800s.  The hotel is still there - I'm not sure if Chuck still owns it or not.  Chuck was, so far as I remember, the first one to spot black helicopters and assign hostility to them.
Chuck seems to be hawking, on his website, devices to protect your electronics from solar flares - I suppose the Ed Dames killshot.

I listened to Chuck back in the late '80s to early '90s, if I recall correctly.  He was the first conspiracy radio show I listened to.
