So if there is a Non-Compete Clause, I'm seeing references to 2 years, would it be considered competing if Art were to do a podcast?

Let's face it, radio is over. Satellite radio is is way too niche to survive. Podcasting is getting very large now. Podcasts are all I really listen to and I am not alone. Depending on the language in that NC, it might be possible for Art to start up a podcast that also live streams. I realize there would be issues around funding, but perhaps Art could run the Dark Matter network for profit and for the duration of the NC he could offer the podcast/streaming of his own content as almost a non-profit thing. Not asking Art to work for free here, I'm just wondering if there are any potential work arounds?

Maybe he can call into shows as a guest......

If he comes back in two years, I'll be waiting. I heard Art was on Sirius only after he had already left again. I immediately looked for the shows and downloaded them. Haven't listened yet to all of the Dark Matter shows, so I haven't heard what Art said was his reason for leaving or if he was even allowed to state it on air, but it's really too bad. Recently we went on an 800 mile road trip on California's I5. Listened to Dark Matter a good part of the way. Really made the time fly and it reminded me of the old days. One of the shows we listened to was the EVP show and, as has been stated with extreme prejudice on other threads, it just wasn't as good without Barbara. That said, it was still great to hear at 1am somewhere North of Kettleman City even if there was a chimichanga involved.

She can certainly afford it.  I don't know what I expected when I looked up her net worth, but can honestly say I didn't expect anything like 65 million.
