This is my first time. Be gentle. I got through 10 tweets when:
"This account, @VaguelyLovable, was suspended for sending multiple unsolicited mentions to other users.

The mention and @reply features are intended to make communication between people on Twitter easier, and posting messages to several users in an unsolicited or egregious manner is considered an abuse of its use. Plus, it bothers other users! For more information about these features and proper use, please visit our @Replies and Mentions help page.

You will need to change your behavior to continue using Twitter. Repeat violations of the Twitter Rules may result in the permanent suspension of your account.

To continue using this account, please confirm below:
I confirm that I will discontinue abuse of the mention or reply feature, as well as any other behaviors that are prohibited by the Twitter Rules. I understand that my account may be permanently suspended if I continue using Twitter in a way that violates the Twitter Rules."

So, unless there's a workaround I've got to stop posting, "@SIRIUSXM"

I guess that means the office is open on the east coast. Sirius bosses siriusly don't like this.  ;D
Start calling now!

If When Art gets back on the air, I believe he should send us all signed boxes of Pizza Rolls.

Or what about signed pizza rolls boxes to benefit the tsunami victims? Hmmmmm

We could also use it to help those affected by related storms in Hawaii

And what crappy magazine is that?

-I would rather not say (especially after calling it crappy... It is though) but odds are you have never heard of it- Or me- Unless you live in my State, and even then you probably would be clueless as to ho I could work for  such a crappy magazine with my quick with and mad skillz lol  ;D

-But yeah. I would rather not go there. You guys can be a rabid bunch.

Regardless, I really have no association with anyone here. I really was just pissed off.

We should all send in boxes of pizza rolls with #freeartbell written on them to Sirius.

It is truly amazing, this board, rough as it is has taught me more about the cyber World
in Months than in my previous Years put together. For example spotting Trolls is so
easy now! Thank you Bell Gab.

Mr. Bell, I am behind on my reading so I just read this this morning.  Happy you are contesting the non-compete.  However, I am laughing to read that Bellgab can teach the Master, and the topic is trolls.  Stay Tuned. There is a lot more education forthcoming.

This is the perfect case study for a grassroots campaign people.  We need to organize.  The #FreeArtBell twitter campaign and Facebook posts are a great start.  We can take it further.  Call into SXM shows unrelated to Art and put a FreeArtBell mention on the air.  We are a creative bunch - someone produce a YouTube video.  Reach out on Reddit and let's try to get Anonymous interested.  Start a specific Facebook page for the campaign.  Let's get going!

EXTINGUISH YO RADIOS

I often wonder just how many of the 25 million subscribers listen to the radio anyway.
My local diner has Sirius XM, and they play the 1950s.
I have heard Sirius XM in doctors' offices, too..
I have a suspicion that lots of 'users' aren't really using it.

That's always been the nature of radio.  Ratings on radio are extremely squishy because its a more passive format.   You get in your car to go to work, you're "listening", you get out of your car, turn the car off, the radio is off, but you're still "listening" as far as the Arbitron book goes because you listened to it that morning.   You may only really listen to an hour of radio split up in ten minute blocks throughout the day, but in the ratings, it looked like you were glued to the radio.  The same goes for Dark Matter or C2C.   The number of people who listen to the whole show start to finish is a minuscule fraction of the people who turn it on, catch a portion and call it a night.

Sirius doesn't care who's "listening".  They get their money up front and just want the exclusive content to attract subscribers.  When Art made the comment he was going to stream it for free, I immediately thought "Shit...  this doesn't end well."  Bottom line, its Art's job to get the listeners.

That was my take on their business model, too. Get as many radios out there as possible, count as many heads.. and quality isn't as important as quantity.. THen they throw Jess to the "woves" now and then for her to take the heat on Twitter and Facebook, and email people back talking points...

I find Sirius to be quite vacant a purpose, and absent a soul.. It's radio without the enthusiasm..

And I only have it for six weeks.

Please dont take anything personal at all. Emotions are pretty high right now all around and sleep is at a premium.

-Cheers man. We can agree to disagree.

Perhaps a way around it is to vary the tweets and time taken in between each tweet.

I agree- Its terrible.

The bulk of shows were aimed at a 14 year old males humor (it seemed) with immaturity running rampant. Not that I am a pillar of maturity or anything but even I found it stupid.

I think you summed it up. "Absent of a soul"...Yup. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Stop making sense!

Did your twitter account get cancelled or just temporarily deactivated?

It's definitely a SPAM defense to stop the SPAM bots from well SPAMMING.

Try to vary your tweets when tweeting to former guests & celebrities.

Don't send the same person 50 tweets that are all the same either.

Remember we want them to help us out. We don't want to annoy them.

Right. It's even worse considering Art's connections to the Philippines. One stupid fucking news outlet in the Philippines ran the story like it was legitimate without checking the sources and, consequently, Art got a lot of undeserved backlash from that. They eventually apologized.

Noory deserves no forgiveness for having Oates on --- especially having Oates on when he had him on.

^^^^ This

One more reason to contribute to the Free Art cause.
Help 'right' the injustices done to Art by showing your support.

Who is Sirius's #1 draw?   Stern.

And what is Stern show?  Exactly what you described.

And why is stern on Sirius?  So he can do "his show" without the FCC taking his shirt.

Of course they're going to appeal to that audience, they want them to find added value in their subscription so they'll renew.

How about freeartbell.com?

I see the name www.freeartbell.com goes to the #freeartbell cause now.

Am I the only one who thinks Art might not want to be freed? I'm not being an asshole, I'm just asking.

At least now he knows how much we all love him.

In other news, my 16-year-old parakeet died this morning.

I need to change my name to DebbieDowner27.

Everything sucks.

And good morning.

Back to my "Free Mr. Clark" comparison this morning... The movie version never showed what happened AFTER they freed him from prison.
Sorry to hear about your parakeet.

I agree with you.  I'm not sure his heart is in it.   Maybe its his back (radio broadcasting is notoriously hard on the back and his was messed up a long time ago). Maybe its the time it takes away from family.   Maybe he's a guy who took his hobby and totally ruined it by making it a job.  I get the sense he likes the "idea" of doing it, and misses it when he isn't...  And when he's doing it he wants to be doing something else.  Either way, it's his life and his choice to do it or not.
