I do not understand what the point of Art resigning was.  He said he "lost his base" and my understanding is he wasn't getting the phone calls he should have been? Many people were having tech issues?

So the only option he had was to quit?

In Quitting the show, he is off the air and can not go back on the air for 2 years.

Who lost? Art has an excuse to not be on the air. The fans of Art who paid to hear him. Sirius lost potential new listeners. Sirius lost all the money they spent to build Art a studio.

Who won? Art has an excuse to not be on the air and spend time with his family.

Sounds to me the only one's who lose here are Art's Fans, and Sirius.  Art hasn't been on Radio since Halloween 2010. That was almost 4 years. The only people I see losing is the Fans of Art Bell. Back in 2001 Art came back to C2C and it was pretty much in the dumpster after Mike took over.  Art brought it back then gave it away and Noory took it.  Again Arts fans lost. If I didn't know better I would think that Art is really trying to help Noory and tell his own fans to piss off. That's the way it comes across to me.

Art keeps saying "win win" who has won in this? The only winner I see is Art not having to hassle around with guest and more time with his family.  Another thing I don't understand is Sirius had issues for a long time, so Art joins knowing there is an issue, and doesn't tell his listeners that something like this might come up, instead he wants us to give money to Sirius to hear him.

As far as George Noory and Coast to Coast AM goes... Well my screen name on here is NIN (Nine Inch Nails.)  Go back to the 90s and hear how people felt about Marilyn Manson ridding Trent Reznor's Success.  NIN then puts out a song called StarFuckers Inc.   Trade the rolls Art is Trent, a real talent. George is Marilyn a happy go lucky.  George and Manson along with many others make up the StarFuckers INC.

Seems to me this show is repeating.

It was absolutely hilarious a few months back when Jorch was posting regularly on the GNS thread.  He was his own worst enemy, of course.  If you get a chance, peruse GNS back a few months and enjoy.  It's a nice break from this on-going Greek tragedy.

The one and only time I called art was when I was 13, I think, and I asked if he had the numbers to purchase ed dames tapes. I didn't have the money but I still wanted those damn tapes.

I'm afraid my radio alarm is going to go off in the morning and I'll find out Noory's taken over the morning program on my local station.  Aaaaahhhhhh!!!  Noory...the nightmare that keeps giving.

You'll wake up and Noory will hand you your morning coffee and tell you how he personally picked the beans, put them on the burro, drove it to the coffee broker, loaded them on a ship, Captained the ship to Los Angeles, unloaded the beans with a crane onto a flatbed truck, drove it to your house and hand ground them himself with an old style hand cranked coffee grinder and put the ground coffee into a Keurig tub which he sealed himself and brewed it while watching it brew.
And then he'd go out and take a plane to Hawaii, harvest the sugar and refine it and then went and milked the cow for your creamer as well.
Finally, he'd hand forge the spoon to stir it all.

I think that Art heard it through the grapevine that Noory was possibly going to be riding him and so he went ahead and challenged, All in, an offer he knew they'd refuse perhaps hoping they would let him out of his contract.  I think Art wanted them to let him out of his contract and I think they will and that we will be seeing Art very shortly, exactly where he wants to be especially after finding out Sirius was going to screw him.  The idea ALONE THAT HE WAS GOING TO BE GIVEN under 3 HOURS JUST ENRAGES ME!
