Ditto. 5AM on a Sunday morning my time means I forfeit one day I get to rest. I love the GabCast, but that's a bit too much of a sacrifice for me.

Are you in Merry Old England with SV and Yorkie?

Wow. First no-bake cake recipe I have ever seen.

Goodness. I am under the impression that saltpeter or a similar chemical is responsible for the reddish color in most cured meats.  I wonder who came up with that bright idea.

We really need a baking and cooking podcast focusing on dangerous recipes.
Probably the same mountain men that use gunpowder as a seasoning when they run out of salt. ;)

Thanks dear, looks wonderful!  Soda, not powder, explains the buttermilk.  I assume that is all cake, and you are left to your own devices for the icing?

Hahaha 350 until toothpick is my guess.  Sift together dry ingredients.  Cream the butter & sugar, then add the rest of the wet ingredients.  Gently fold in dry.

Would be interesting to note if the eggs (or just the whites) are to be beaten first to add more of what grandma called luft.

Almost forgot - Saltpeter does act as a preservative.

Great! Now I have to smash my penis with a rolling pin.

If you want to see dangerous recipes, get a copy of Henley's Formulas from the 1890's. I dropped a PDF copy of it in these threads somewhere. Probably quicker to just search it out onlline.

So basically any recipe involving electric appliance, sharp utensils or fire.

Shit. We might need a Federal Department of Cooking and Baking.
Don't you worry we already have the FDA, and other agencies, on top of it and TONS of regulations and laws on the books with regard to these things, but, as any bureacrat could tell you, no reason not to make more!
https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2001/09/07/01-22481/small-entity-compliance-guide-food-labeling-serving-sizes-reference-amount-for-baking-powder-baking
https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2016/05/27/2016-11865/food-labeling-serving-sizes-of-foods-that-can-reasonably-be-consumed-at-one-eating-occasion
And these are only a few of the many, many and at the Federal level. States and local municipalities also have countless regulations.

Haha. I haven't read the document but I'm sure like other voluminous documents there will be a reference to the 'Paperwork Reduction Act' (44 U.S.C. §§ 3501â€"3521) on one of the pages!!

I got my hoodie too. This hoodie is first class and is a piece of art work.  Thank you WC.

These are awesome. Especially Heather's fake Likes. I'm willing to bet Art did this rather than someone they hired.

Man, what a terrible gift. "Here, I bought you some fake friends. You looked like you could use some."

Also if you guys can get Jaz to say the word "assume", just kind of all natural like, I'd be much obliged.  It's for an informal survey I'm doing.
