Living in NorCal, PRO California. Home: Sonoran Desert

Is the Sonoran Desert considered the "High Desert"??  In the great American Southwest.. I bid you good morning, or good evening, whichever the case may be!

West of the Rockies!  Here's a picture taken through the living room window last winter.

Technically the "high desert" lies in the higher elevation Mojave Desert, as in Nye County. The Sonoran can be much more like mesquite forest and riverways, surrounded by Saguaro adorned mountains. The High Desert has a look more reminiscent of the great plains. The Mojave meets the great plains around Carson City. Magical, stark, Mojave Desert.

Without getting too specific, here's a picture taken through the living room window last winter.

If you go by my prank calls: Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, New Jersey & Alabama, I think. I actually reside in New York though, which some of you already knew from my drunken posting in the random things thread.

I'm too drunk to have any idea of what you're talking about.

I grew up in Fullerton, CA (left when I was 12).  As it turned out, Phillip K. Dick would have been living down there at the time.  I wonder if my childhood self may have ridden a bicycle past his house and wondered who the odd-looking fellow was staring out his window with dismay at the world.

That is interesting. I never knew Dick lived in Fullerton. I learn something new every day at bellgab.
