Ghostly Encounters! - that's good one
Dark Encounters! - That's a good one too!
.....how about Spooky Matter =P
nah - I worm'd Ghostly MatterS... so oh well, I'm sure he'll change it!

BTW - I am running the "live" replay right now...for folks wanting to listen...http://willstare.com:8150/

Shadow Matters thus mentioning the show and Art's cat as well.
And obliquely the shadow people, which is what some entities are.
I watched this Ghost Hunters DVD set and twice these things that looked like black shapes with human form came out of nowhere on the video.
It was creepy.
Of course, it could have been all this guy ...one of them in the show looked like a female version of the blot.

I just clicked on my profile and noticed that there is a section that shows your posts by time... It is a mean and rotten trick of MV's to remind me that I am an insomniac.  Oh well, time for an espresso and off to bed (yes, caffeine helps me sleep.)  Have a good night, and good luck getting to sleep before you see the sun.

What's that ? We can't hear you. We're all busy napping.

I can't believe that none of those Snoory programs ever put you to sleep.
Best cure for insomnia I ever found.

It always turns to race ..
Damn the man

Speaking of race, there was this story over the weekend.
Publicity seeking jerk ruins triumph for runner.

Intruder breaks finish line tape before winner at Berlin Marathon

Sept. 29, 2013 - Winner Wilson Kipsang, right, from Kenya smiles as an unidentified man crosses the finish line during the 40th Berlin Marathon in Berlin, Germany. Kipsang set a new world record of 2h 3min 23sec. (AP)

Kenyan distance runner Wilson Kipsang may have broken a world record in Germany’s Berlin Marathon Sunday, but he was robbed of a rite of passage.

As Kipsang approached the finish line, a stranger in the crowd dressed in running gear jumped in front of him and broke the tape, according to a report in Newser.com. The unidentified man was wearing a number as well as a t-shirt promoting an escort service, Newser reported, citing German website The Local.

Race officials chased the intruder in the finish line area, which officials had blocked off amid concerns following the terror attack at the Boston Marathon in April. He was caught and taken into police custody, charged with trespassing. The mystery spoiler is banned from any future events run by marathon organizers.

Kipsang, 31, was smiling during the stunt. The world class runner clocked in at two hours, 3 minutes, and 23 seconds, which is a new world record for the 26.2 mile marathon. His prize was $54,000 for winning the race, and another $68,000 for setting the record.

It was the ninth time a world record has been set in Berlin, and five men’s world records have been broken there in the last decade, according to an AFP report.

I missed Crystal singing live but this song sums up all too well how I felt having to listen to Noory all these years.

Crystal Gayle - Ready for the Times to get better

;D ;D ;D ;D
The times are not only better they're fantastic, even sports teams have hits and misses so why not Art ?
4 weeks into the NFL and no mention of Green Bay from Art ?
Did the new wife make him ( horrors !!! ) give up watching football ?

** FINALLY ** Art says "Mike... Mike... you're breathing into the phone."   Why on earth didn't he say this in the first 10 seconds.  Jesus Christ though... didn't help at all, still - breath intake - breathing like a mother f - breath intake- ...

How does this guy even have a wife?

Someone PLEASE tell me what the hell this show was about.   Listening to this while I'm working is like listening to noise in the background.  There is nothing I have been able to focus on and understand.

Maybe Art's voice was turning him on and that was the reason for the heavy breathing.

Bell_Weather

I don't understand the show tonight. I listened to the whole thing twice.  I don't understand what is interesting about hearing this guy's opinions vs. anyone else's opinions.  He didn't bring anything to the table of interest.  There was no point.  My favorite moment was Art's almost under-breath comment that the guest was not demonstrating anything entertaining or interesting in any way really, which he completely got away with without the guest noticing.

Everyone calling in, and Art was concerned with his inconsistent criteria for proof of things but to me it just comes down to who cares what he thinks at all about anything?  What is so special about him that his fickle opinions should be broadcast to millions of listeners?  Pointless guest.  I do agree with him though when he said he could listen to Art read the news for hours.  That would have been better than him, for sure.

Dang , breaking in line dude is a fatty fat fat next to the real marathoner ..no wonder he had to cheat

Hate to say it, but the guy bored the living shit out of me. I don`t often fall asleep during an Art Bell broadcast, but an 8-ball of coke couldn`t have kept me awake last night.

I was shocked that I didn't pass out, what with the bong rips and the boring guest.

I think that the repeated SiriusXM app issues are what actually kept me awake.

Can't wait for tonight, and I hope they get into some wacky shit.

This is exactly how I feel 90% of the time I see live music.

I agree.  I'd much rather listen to a studio version of my favorite song while driving my convertible or something.   Live shows are a bore and all I do is stare at all the other people and think "Why am I here?"   ... just like last night, but I was listening to the replay!

Centurion40

Bubbles!!!

I'm listening to it now.  40 minutes in and I've zoned-out at least 10 times.

ziznak

I tried my best to listen to the replay and had to tap out for video games and then finally sleep...

I don't blame Art.  He's gonna get some guests that are like this... these "lead guitarists" at a live show types.

fuck your solo dude back into the chorus PLEASE!!

I don't mind guitar solos, I don't mind the fact that the music is live, what gets me is I am constantly asking myself "who the fuck is this guy up here on stage and why does he deserve to have me and everyone else stand here and pay money to listen while he whines about his girlfriend? Who the fuck does he think HE is? This better be some John Lennon on acid for the fist time while Mind-Melding with a whale and learning the deepest inner workings of the animal kingdom type-shit or ELSE."

The last good show I went to was Return to Forever in 2006 (with Stanley Clarke, Lenny White, Chick Corea and Al Dimeola). Nobody whined about their girlfriend.

Dude, this is such a problem in Seattle where I am.  You have no idea.

I can only imagine. I've dealt with some shitty musicians from Seattle. One in particular who wasted a lot of my time and really pissed me off, then ended up shooting himself in the foot with some terrible record that got rejected by the label. One of those "I told you so" moments.

scottydawg

AMEN brothers! ;) This guy should be renamed "The Rambler" >:( I turned it off after 2 1/2 hours and switched over to replays from C2C from July 1999. That's what I like about my little Pioneer Inno XM radio, I can upload Mp3's into it.
And on the subject of Live bands I've had the inglorious pleasure of having to work the venues where some real fart smellers have played. Back then I had a Casio Pocket TV that had a 2 inch screen. Some of the bands couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!
So I'd put and earphone in one ear and a earplug in the other and watch Home Improvement or re-runs of Cheers.
It amazed me what some shmucks would pay for front row seats back in the 80's and 90's not realizing how many bands lipped synced!

I had one of those! With the little line that would travel across the UHF/VHF bands? Thing was badass at the time.

I find the sun cures my insomnia... I didn't get to sleep until around 7:00, but I also did not wake up until noon.  With that said, I missed rush hour traffic and I often think about the miserable, unhappy people waking up as zombies to their alarm clocks cursing the morning while they stumble through the house in a stupor trying to find a way to wake up as I am getting to sleep.  It is rare that I have to do that (I usually schedule my appointments late morning or afternoon and my hours (with certain exceptions) are quite flexible.

I know that everybody is napping while I am awake and posting.  But I often say to a friend "think of me sleeping while you are stuck on the freeway trying to make that 8:00 meeting..."

steelbot

Yes, and I'm sure that Art's email has been blown up to exert their dismay over last night's guest.

Have any of you listened to Micheal heiser before? I am a follower of his,  and right away he sounds high or drunk.  Or maybe both!  Seriously out of character...  Maybe it's just nerves?

I find it interesting that you say this. I have never listened to him before last night. (Not that I know of, anyway.)

Is he the type of character given to that sort of behavior? Getting high and drunk and whatnot?

elbee

Hell no!

Listening now he does seem to have sobered up after the first hour.  But Art keeps hitting him with handballs which isjust tturning the show into a shouting match...

ziznak

Was hoping he would sound more like what his site was all about but I don't think he really touched on a lot of it....

I worked graveyard for years and wound up being a semi permanent night owl because of it. My girlfriend didn't help. She kept coming over and waking me up because she was bored. I finally got her to stop that. But then people keep one awake, loud music, air blowers, kids yelling. It's tough working thr night hours particularly after you've been listening to AB all night. I used to have to open a shop in San Francisco at 8am and I was never awake unitl noon. I hated it. Were it up to me I'd have NASA put huge sunglasses over the sun so I could sleep until about 4 pm.
