You know what, guys? I've been lurking this forum for a few years, and I finally decided to make an account when the website went up. It just seemed appropriate to share the excitement with a group of people that I've grown to really kind of like.

I stopped posting whenever Noory showed up because that whole thing was just weird and uncomfortable. I didn't plan on ever posting again, actually. But, I watched the thread last night. Despite my own joy over Art's return, I think I got the biggest kick from watching you guys' unbridled happiness.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that it was really cool to hear the shout-out a few minutes ago -- double for Rossy because his trailer for Dark Matter was pretty kickass.

This probably came across as kind of creepy (and really, really delayed since that stupid red "a new reply has been posted" box keeps popping up), but whatever. Thanks for always giving me something entertaining to read. I'm just happy that this forum is so happy.

Thank you, that was beyond kind. I still have goosebumps. Made making the trailers all worth it hearing you and Art discuss them briefly. And Art to say what a talent. Wow.

Regarding the first caller in Open Lines who told Art about his inventor friend who was doing a 10-year sentence on a "trumped up" charge of "some kind of mail fraud". Details were lacking about why it was the man was a threat, but we had to draw the conclusion based on the context of the show that he had some kind of miracle energy invention. These kinds of things are not that unusual, and they are almost always "perpetual motion" scams which the inventor/salesman pushes as a "free energy" machine. The government (and in these cases "government" means just regular folks who are the agents and prosecutors, and they're not some shadowy cadre of faceless spies and spooks who parachute in and operate in the shadows) usually demonstrates that there is a net energy loss to the operation of the machine. Also almost always the inventor can't really explain his machine in scientific terms. These cases are almost always a fraudulent scam to garner investors to put enough money in to "market" the miracle invention. If the inventor/salesman is truly in jail for 10 years, then it means he either has a terrible record with many prior similar convictions for fraud (not unlikely) or that he took a lot of people for a lot of money. 

Bottom line, church friends mean well, but when they are enlisted to get involved in a campaign to "tell the truth" about someone in jail for fraud, they usually have been told just part of the story and are being badly used.

And immediately said the first two weeks of guests would be older guests to help him ease into the show and help new listeners understand what he does.

So with that being said, wait another week and he will have new guests.

I'm with you there!!  We are not even through day two yet--give it time.  I'm sure Art has this well thought out and the best is yet to come w/many surprises up his sleeve.  Give the cake time to bake before you taste it...so to speak.
