Quick sinking feeling?

Fluxeon

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience as I've had where I suddenly feel like I'm going to drop through the ground. It feels like I've dropped down a few inches and then pop back up within the span of second and there are several drops and pop back ups like in a row. This has happened maybe a few dozen times in my life and it's just very strange.

have you been checked for blood sugar issues?

Does this only happen while laying down waiting for sleep? Or does it happen while you are walking around and completely lucid? Because I've only had that feeling while laying down. Suddenly sinking or falling and then twitching myself back to fully-awake.

I also have suspected myself to have low blood sugar, but have never thought that it may be related before reading this..

No, but that sounds logical. I may have to get it checked.

Hmmmm... You should call Coast to Coast and speak with Dr Noory.  90% chance he's gonna say you've been abducted by aliens.  If not aliens then it's a 5% percent chance that demons or angels are involved.

Or he'll recommend turmeric.

...I might as well admit that I learned this from a comic book.

As for Fluxeon - I've never experienced exactly what you described, but I do have days where I feel taller than other days.
Do you live near some sort of magnetic anomaly?

The first thing I would have checked is blood pressure.

A couple questions, How old are you? How much do you weigh? It could well be hypotension, especially if the vertigo is transitory. When people age sometimes their Barrow receptors are slow to respond. When standing up quickly the heart is unable to respond to the sudden change in hemodynamics, hence lightheadedness.

It could be blood sugar but that usually, if it does cause vertigo, is a longer lasting symptom. Also diabetes, if it is the culprit it, is more likely type one which believe me if you are that acute you would most likely have more severe symptoms.

There is a condition called idiopathic vertigo. Idiopathic is a fancy word for "we dunno" what caused it.

So the only information I can give that is valuable is SEE A DOCTOR.

For those of you just tuning in we just had that last call and I wanted to bring it over into this bottom of the hour.

Fluxeon, if you see a doctor, do NOT get a vaccine.  I'm not telling you what to do, but do NOT get the vaccine. I wouldn't! Just don't do it.

Say, if the doctor leaves the room and returns in full Masonic regalia, blood on the apron, swinging a censer full of burning wormwood, do NOT get the vaccine.

I'm just saying.

And that's ALL I'm gonna say about it.

We'll be right back with tonight's guest, "Benjamin Creme."

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling sicker already!

We'll be right back.

Cue bumper music "Spirit In The Sky."

(By the way, a hearty "Welcome" to Kingfisher, Oklahoma pirate pod cast affiliate  KNGFSH. Welcome to the coast family.  Oklahoma is nice. Hey, Tommy. Is Kingfisher near Enid? I used to have a girlfriend in Enid. Are we off the AIR yet?)

....that's where I'm gonna go when I die.....

100% chance he'll tell you to take turmeric capsules.

a cinammon supplement will help you metabolize sugars. needs to be in capsule. the stuff on your toast doesn't count.

I am amazed at the number of people that have used bath salts... to me it says "hey, shoot me. Cuz I am the biggest dumb fuck you will ever find."

Although I am usually the last one to suggest natural supplements for health care, Cinnamon, cinnamomum zeylanicum in particular seems to have beneficial effects controlling hyperglycemia. The studies I looked at were small and some were criticized for not having a good enough control group. There also seems to be some concern about dosages. It seems that 1 gram or 5 grams produced similar results. Not a good sign for an effective study. Nonetheless it seems Cinnamon may well be a good adjunct to treatment of diabetes, particularly DMII.

I hope you feel better soon. All kidding aside, this sounds serious. Please see a physician! Hopefully, it'll turn out to be nothing or maybe just allergies.

I see at least 2 patients a month that say they have used bath salts. Sometimes it has been weeks or longer since their use. Although there are other reasons for disorganized thoughts, to a one each user of bath salts couldn't put two sentences together that made sense. Yeah gimme some of that.

Were they previously on methamphetamine and then switched to baff salts because they are cheaper and readily available?

That's always been my assumption about that whole mess...

That is a very good question. I do not have an exact answer for you. Mostly because I triage for safety then figure out if a patient is a danger to self or others (in the short term). Then I match doctor to needs of patient. Since methamphetamines do not require a medical detox treatment I don't gather much information about that use. I will say I have yet to see an alcoholic using bath salts... now watch tomorrow *sigh*.

ziznak

I wonder if you can use your ebt card in cali to buy baff salts at your local head shop?

proba-fuckin-bly!

When I worked in a cannabis dispensary (for about four years) there were people coming in using EBT on weed... ALL-FUCKIN-DAY.

And we had a lot of people come in all fucked up on uppers looking for some reefer to help them come down. A few times I was paid with money that had lots of cocaine (or another crystalline powder) still caked on it from smashing up drugs to snort.

Other times, when counting money in bulk in their vault, I found money with blood and burn marks all over it. That place was almost entirely ran, operated and patronized by drug dealers.

"Think you've got the world by the tail, don't you? Well, let me tell you a thing or two, Joy Boy. Sure, things taste pretty sweet right now. And why not? The world looks pretty tasty through a pair of bath salts glasses; where life is just one hellish hallucination after another. But tell me this, smart guy: what's gonna happen when you start coming down? Did you ever wonder if maybe one day the bath salts won't work quite as well? Of course you didn't. You thought you could just paint your face blue and enjoy a mind-crushing vision of a transsexual Satanic monkey devouring your live, flaming entrails for the small price of a bag of industrial poison labeled "Bath Salts - Not For Human Consumption", on sale at every Pakistani bodega.

But you just think about this, Pop Tart - you have to pay the piper. Soon - maybe not today, maybe not even tomorrow, but soon - you'll go from having fun visions of cannibalizing some homeless psychotic's nose, to actually doing it in real life. And it's a lot different when you tear his stinking, unwashed scrotum off with your own teeth and chew on his bloody testicles like they were flesh gumballs in real life instead of watching it in a dream. And let me tell you, Poppin' Fresh - pubic hair is no substitute for dental floss. But that's life on the salt flats, my young friend. You'd better get used to it. And while you're at it, you'd better sharpen up your teeth: those testicles are tough as hell.

Dum da dum dum......Dum da dum dum DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

meth is expensive? or just more expensive than bath salts?

this bath salts thing is going to make it possible for Dog the Bounty Hunter to come back to TV. All his bond jumps were related to meth. Imagine bond zombies..... Dog will be back if bath salts make it to Hawaii.

I'm not really sure, but the more I think about it, seems to me that people would sooner switch because there's a storefront that you can buy the baff salt from unlike the meff.

Epilepsy?  I have a condition where I rapidly go from being fully conscious into a state where I'm half-asleep/half-awake.  Kind of like when you're lying in bed and wake up very slowly.  The my body sort of jumps to pull me out of it.  I've had it since 13 and seem to have it less as I get older. I think it might be related to blood pressure medication.

Not to be a douche, but why are you asking here?
