What brought you to Coastgab?

So, it seems like there are a number of new users lately.  I was a bit curious at to whether this had anything to do with Art posting recently or not.  Maybe there's been a poll like this in the past, but, anyway... I wonder, recent member or not, what originally brought you to Coastgab?

I found Coastgab in 2010 because I was searching for an Art Bell Stream.  It's the only board like this that I belong to or post on.  I made a profile and started posting because it seemed like fun.  I stayed for the hilarious shit that happens around here.

         Started lurking  on Nov 16, 2009 after getting directed here from a "George Noory is a talentless shitheel who sucks" type of search. Finally joined March 7, 2011.

I'd probably seen Coastgab before, but I specifically joined and became active circa December 2010 in the wake of the "Art Bell Quits Coast" controversy (back when we had almost nothing to go on...).

i think i started here around july of 2010.  i was probably searching for a place to discuss paranormal topics and got pulled in by giant sucking suck of georgenoorysucks.com.  actually ... i never knew that georgenoorysucks.com pointed to this site until i entered that url into my address bar one day.  roflmao is right

It was the sudden epiphany in the middle of yet another show with Lionel Fanthorpe that I realized George Noory really and truly, no kidding around, does suck, backed up by a shedload of negative Amazon reviews for his books. A brief google search, some lurking, and here I am since January.

Learned about the site while doing a search on my iPhone for alternate art bell streams (u7 wasn't working that day) back in 2009.  I lurked for a long time and only started posting a few months ago.

Was looking for a site to see if I was the only one who thinks most of the guests on the show are Sofa King crazy.   I listen to the show the next day on youtube, and rarely find any comments about the videos that reflect any critical thinking.  Glad to find this site.

What made me finally register was an awesome post by the user Valdez, who I haven't seen in a while.




I had been a listener (on and off) since about 1994. Came here and originally kept lurking probably because of the now defunct but legendary 24/7 art bell stream. That combined with a core-group of like minded people who were sick of what was happening to coast under Noory's reign.

Not having listened to C2C since Art quit, I found myself listening recently while pulling a double shift at work. I had never listened to Noory. My first impression was "what a dumbass". The next day, I decided to find more information on this dipshit like where he came from, what was his background, etc. . I went to Google, typed "George Noory" and auto-fill gave me "Sucks". That's how I discovered Coastgab. I've lurked here for awhile and finally decided to register.
