ART said that the threatening phone call was from some young kid,
and that [they] have a pretty good idea who it is, but can not prove it.

OK. let's work with this information from Art.

1). young kid.
Young kid who is so pissed off with Art to call him, and specifically [according] to ART is giving
an ultimatum of Art not doing radio show...that ART [and family] will be death if Art
continues to do radio show.

So what we have here.
Kid is not interested in money, no cash demand, we talking no BiG cash ransom demand.
That means Art did something to somebody so fucking terrible that that person is not even
interested in BiG MONEY as a compensation.
Normally pissed of person that was hurt by Art would say , OK fucker give me so many thousands
of dollars and we are even for the shit you did to me.

But here we don't have that. OK-we don't know if the ransom demand was made, but logically
thinking [even if Art would say nothing to us if there was a ransom demand],
but Art would be able to eventually settle that,..pay the money and go on the air,
especially that apparently very-VERY lucrative deal was almost done with CUMULUS Radio MEDIA Giant
with hundreds of radio stations.
We talking millions of listeners and dollars in profit for DMDN and MITD.
So if ransom was in question Art would take care of it to save his show and
to sign contract with CUMULUS.

That takes this into other areas...who and why ??
Asking for no money, just for Art to get the fuck of the air.

Did Art recognized kid's voice on the phone, otherwise why Art said , /we know who it is/.

Hiring young kid by someone could be risky,young kid could easily fuck up the action,
is young kid acting for him self, or for someone else ??  How young,how old is that kid ??
Kid could be 15-17 years old or 25 years old in Art's [70 old] perception.

Anyway, it is interesting story.
Could be someone who lost his job /livelihood/ because of Art, and now is pay back time and Art is
forced from his job.

The shooter , did not shoot Art, just forced him off the air.
Did Art forced someone else in the past from the air ??

No. You not being a radio guy and deciding to do radio is on you. My not being a radio guy and subjecting myself to what will surely be my own suckage is just stupid and i'm not a masochist.

Last time I did something public it was spur the moment and I kinda got suckered in and pretty much did a terrible job all around. I accept my lack of skill in a format like that- Why would I do something I suck at just to appease you when the same thing can be accomplished on skype without me having to deal with trying to not  have dead air, be fairly entertaining and fill 2 hours doing something I dont like for a few min debate with you.

You want to talk 'man to man'- You have my skype. Or be my guest and host a show or whatever and ill make sure to call in.

If I could do radio that would be my career because its something I love- Its not my forte. Unfortunately im not good at it.

Hi Art, (if you happen to stop by and read this) I posed a question on the GabCast about folks with disclosure info that have been waiting in the wings to talk with you on the air. Have you considered having a BelGab connected podcast with these people a couple times a month? Over the decades you have instilled confidence for guests that is either lacking in most hosts or todays hosts have not yet established. Years ago, you were the 1st person that I told about what I had seen at Edwards AFB in the late 80's. After talking to you, and your guest who validated what I saw, I felt a huge weight had been lifted from me. Just have a feeling that a series of chats between you and eager "disclosers" would break the internet. All in favor, raise your hand....

People are either bitching or commenting about Art in spite of his apology and admission of making a mistake. That's true. But the reason is that both his apology and admission were extremely limited. They only extended as far as his announcement of hanging it up and never going back on air. As for the rest, he is still giving us a line of BS and doing it unapologetically.

Specifically, he continues to defend his choice of Heather, his judgement that she is doing a great job, and the overall quality of the show since he left. In fact, he is adamant about these things and upset with anyone who questions his judgement or decision-making skills in this case. He labels them as unfair, unreasonable people, if not outright trolls. These are, BTW, many of the same people whose judgement he endorsed when they bashed Noory.

Also, if you want to know why people keep on saying what they're saying, look no further than the fact that Heather is still on the air with no plans to leave anytime soon. Meanwhile, Art is continually singing her praises. People hear BS and they respond. It's as simple as that. Besides which, this is the Art Bell thread on BellGab. Do you really think people will not chat about this stuff when the principals keep throwing fresh meat at them?

Seems like most of your complaints are Art backing Heather. What do you want him to do tell everyone Heather sucks? Why would he not support her? I can imagine people flipping the shit if he said anything bad about her too, he really can't win.
