Still homeless?
In the Carlin way (also an Art guest) I would prefer you social worker types use the term "house less." (Or, maybe, "shelter less," in these economic times.)

Beer run. Keep the stupid convo going, I'll be back.

I'm waiting.  Is it gonna be Stella Artois?  Or Heineken?

Can you get me a 6pack,  since you already going?

I'll pay you back.  I promise.

He said in his thread http://bellgab.com/index.php/topic,1643.0.html ages ago he doesn't want to make anymore fidgets. From what I can gather, 20 years ago after taking peoples money (25k at $5 a pop) and not sending them what they ordered (fidgets) Art refused to talk to him. In doing this Mr. Fidget believes Art sent out a curse over the airwaves everywhere resulting in everything bad that has ever happened to him. He wants Art to lift the curse so that good things will start happening to him again.

I think that is it in a nutshell.
Ah. That's right.  He Bravo Foxtrotted all those Ppl.   And he blames ART because he, MF, didn't even have the courtesy to give a reach around as he made off with all that money.
Tell me, MF, and I don't mean 'Missis Fidget,' what did you do with all that money you screwed those Ppl out of?  You should have been imprisoned for screwing those Ppl out of their fidgets.

Now go take your meds and wash them down with a thorizine cocktail.    Mmmmmkay?

Ostensibly.  Is that your word for the day?

It takes psychotic skill to steal peoples money then play the role of victim over a decade later.

Honestly, how much time is Art supposed to invest in bike chains? They're neat, sure, but you had your chance. Move on. Bike chain fidgets twenty years ago. You were a novelty two decades ago. Stop living in the past.
I think I'll start marketing toothpicks as "chewers."  I'll see if this guy can help me with my scam.

Big money, here I come.

I can't sleep, okay? Anyway, trying to argue the point with fidget is as productive as attempting to sing in perfect pitch and cadence 'By the dawns early light' with a nest of angry wasps shoved up your arse, and balancing an eel on your nose. The latter might have more potential: Fidget is a neurotic narcissist, and can't read anything objectively.

Oh, I think it is more common than you think.
S&L hucksters
Bailout banksters
Politicians, in general
pressure groups of various types who find offense and want damages, law changes, or quotas for stuff done to their, assuming they aren't lying, relatives many generations ago.
etc.

In short... good memory.

Blacklisting is not common. I don't know how many other people, if any... have had it happen on the air like Art did it. I think it's usually a "smokey room" kind of thing.

I'm over trying to figure it out,
I just want it lifted.

A yin to the yang, a zig to the zag, an on to the off, a change to the status quo Art has created...

Art's not the only poster here who's created a paranoid fantasy world to live in.

Yeah, the Sham-Wow guy. I actually got quite a kick out of him. For what he was, he was entertaining.

On another subject, I am still surprised to see one person dominating this thread for so long, when that person isn't Art. Mr. F will retreat to his own thread if you stop talking to him. Unless people really do want to talk to him. In which case, I don't get it.

Element 115

Quote from: Mr. Fidget on January 30, 2016, 04:16:25 PM
It was a three day trifecta.

On 8-11-97 I introduced myself and said I could get through any night, and I'd prove it.

Then on the 12th I did again, and told Art the fidgets were on the way. At the end of the show that night Art said "See you tomorrow, unless the fidgets work for time travel."

The next night he took off unscheduled, and replayed Ed Dames.

Then on the 14th he made a very brief statement about the fidgets, said he'd do his "research", and clearly said "I'm closing the topic of fidgets."

He then went on to interview Dr. Lockwood for two hours... then open lines.

I got through first call, and Art about fell out of his chair. He then, at my suggestion, held me on as a guest for the entire three hour show.

I left out some unusual nuances, but that is the chronogogy.

Thank you for letting me know! How did I miss this? I bet as soon as I hear it, I will recollect.

Hey buddy, theft has a legal definition. It's not up to you, check with your chain of command.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corpus_delicti

In essence corpus delicti of crimes refers to a palpable harm. Where there is no violation of an established right there can be no wrong.

Rights are of two kinds, namely "of the person" (jura personarum) and "to control external objects" (jura rerum).

Wrongs are also of two kinds and they are either public or private. Public wrongs are called crimes or public offenses whereas private wrongs are called torts and either involve the breach of a duty of care, a wrongful trespass against the person or property of another and breaches of agreement or contract. This difference forms the distinction between criminal law (regarding crime) and civil law (regarding torts).

In every instance there must be a palpable harm or injury to the rights of another coupled with mens rea ("guilty mind") or alternatively an element of negligence so severe as to be considered criminal.

Sorry bro, no crime.

Just to add to the madness. What about a counter claim by Art (or in those days HGH, cancer cures, etc) for tortious interference by your 'call in' method? Kidding, keep on Fidgeting.

Maybe they 'deserve' each other ..... ?

Fidget reminds us endlessly with his past glory ......
We ... in turn, remind Art Bell of his past glory ....

Kind of a fucked-up love triangle ...... 'I love her, she loves him, and he loves me'
