It was a horrible time in my life because I had worked so hard to make MITD fly with a lot of money, sweat and everything was going so well. Just sad.

Under the circumstances, I probably would’ve done exactly the same thing that you did.  The physical and psychological security of your wife and child are clearly the top priority.  And apparently, it worked.  So regardless of how grumpy your fans may feel about it, it was the right move.

Now it’s up to you to decide to either make that decision a strategic withdrawal to regroup while you come up with a smart and effective plan to catch the miserly weasel, or a permanent capitulation to the will of a contemptible creep.

I don’t envy your position one bit, and I’m not going to presume to pass judgment on anyone in your circumstances.  As long as you and your family are safe and happy, your decision is right.

I’m just saying that given my personality, I couldn’t be happy knowing that some wretched piece of human filth got the best of me through utterly cowardly and despicable means.  I wouldn’t be able to get a good night’s sleep until I had turned the tables on him, and showed the world who and what he is.  That compulsion is most probably an unhealthy character flaw in my mind, but then again in the words of our old friend H.L. Mencken:
