Well she was Baptised by a German Priest who spelled her name that way but no American can look at it and say Irene, so she likes it pronounced as It looks. Many people think that was my idea which is not true, it's what people who look at the spelling say and it is unique so she fell in love with it.

Waitaminnit:  As I recall the story, he saw her name and (quite naturally, imo) thought it was pronounced like “Erin.”  I think they started by emailing, iirc.  And as I recall, she didn’t mind it (I seem to recall that she didn’t correct him on it until they’d gotten to know each other a little better, and by then it had stuck).
 
So I don’t see any inconsistencies.  Or am I missing something here?

There are no inconsistencies between those two descriptions.  Maybe you're reading something wrong.

Every time someone claims they have “evidence” of dishonesty, it’s always been wrong.  I’m done arguing about it.  Art’s an honest guy, always has been.  You can debate the merits and demerits of his temperament or whatever, but I’ve never seen proof of outright deceit (except for commercials, and those don’t count).

When it comes down to it the same could be said about any topic including George Noory whose horse has been beaten for over a decade and yet he still shows up for work. The same could be said regarding almost any topic.

The way I see it we arent here to solve World hunger, racial harmony and peace in the middle east. The fact that that post seriously had to take some balls asking fans for monetary support after walking away and quitting again for the 2,847,963rd time is new information to talk about .

The double standard here is mind blowing. Go post the same thing in the "GN sucks thread" where people actually listen all night to his program (they profess to hate) to report on the same dumb pronunciations and stupid shit he says and keep talking about it for how many years now?- THAT is beating a deads horse...

I think the inability to process that people dislike your hero is a good reality check for you. Step back and see that Art is a very flawed human being and your support for him, to the point where it's making you this upset, is a serious health risk. I stopped being an Art Bell fan when he quit the Dark Matter show after 6 weeks, offering up some really flimsy excuses for someone who just loves doing radio so much.  It didn't ring true any of it was something to quit over.  That was so ridiculous after the big buildup, why subject myself to being jerked around by someone capable of that?

That worked so well for him, he went with an even more impressive story of intrigue this time. 

And PS, I was skeptical before, but based on recent (non) events, as far as I'm concerned there was no OBE in Paris, no map from 'Bugs', no 'Art's Parts, no huge UFO flying overhead in the desert, no eye-witnessing of an alien implant being operated on, and Victor was indeed Whitley - and Art knew it, even set it up.

Except anyone in their right mind, and certainly the father of a child in that situation, would see some teacher disappearing with his 16-year-old son across state lines for weeks of sodomization, as both kidnapping and rape.  I have no fuckin' idea why the law didn't see it that way, but in my estimation, the law was wrong.  In any case it's hardly a "lie" to actually see it as kidnapping and rape.  That rotten AIDS-raping pederast prick should never have seen the light of day again.
