I always assumed that firing guns at each other was just how you lot said hello. It's like shaking hands, more or less. If I heard anything like that on my country estate, I'd tell the gamekeeper to hunt the blighter down and give him a good dollop of buckshot in the seat of the pants, but it's all par for the course in your neck of the woods.

Not far off the mark for Pahrump NV.  God knows what his fixation on that dump is. A desert Green Acres with meth labs and a brothel. An old pal retired there after a career in Vegas...the stories he could tell about neighbors were amazing.

1.George Noory showed up at his door with two nerf swords and challenged him to a sword fight to determine who is the king of late-night wacko radio

2.The shadow person he saw in his house before tried to bugger him

3.He took too much Viagra and it won't go down

4.His wife burned his dinner and he trashed the studio in a fit of rage

5.All the people who overspent on Y2k crap stormed his compound and demanded a refund

6.He was busy trimming his nose hair

7.He was busy pondering a sequel to The Quickening

8.The little brown mouse on his desk bit his finger

9.His wife got a wrinkle on her face and he kicked her out of his place

10.He suggested a three-way between Redacted and his wife and himself, and they beat him up

Ok, these are just "possible" explanations. Not saying that's what happened. Just "possible".
