So true, this is the best incarnation of Art's show yet. Art sounds like he's having a blast with it too. I even like Hoagland. I can't say that I've ever heard radio quite like Richard's show.

I agree.  Even I've been tuning in to Richard's show, and I'm not a huge Hoagland fan (he makes me impatient).  He's much more palatable when he's not going on and on about stuff on Mars.

You know...it has always been my experience that if someone doesn't respect you, they are never going to. Oh well, what can ya do, eh? Just didn't realize there was a party line that needed to be towed in this forum. I've never been very good at that sort of thing...so, have fun kids, carry on. Write if you get work.

On the off chance you'll be back; you and/ or your work earn respect if it's there to be earned. No party line (speaking as someone who routinely crashes it), per se. But you can't throw a hissy fit if those who have considerable life and academic skills to put the opposite view to your own, effectively make yours untenible.

Ed Dames hasn't stood the test of time, but I would give anything to hear Art interview Ingo Swann one last time, which sadly, won't happen.

That would have been a good show! Wasn't Ingo connected to Shafica Karagulla? There was a thread in GLP talking about Swann, SK, Dames, and the CIA.

Joe Rogan tomorrow night.  Wow.  That's going to be interesting.  Joe has to remember Art's first rule.

Just doing some catching up here.  I like this post.  I DO however believe in magic, but I think its misrepresented. (And yes, exploited by charlatans throughout the centuries)   Magic is rooted in our realization that we need to learn to control our own consciousness, NOT the external environment, and coming to another difficult realization: that ignorance is within. Magic is the work we do on working to improve OURSELVES internally, not anyone, or anything else.   Just my 2 cents, just IMO, for what its worth.  OK,  I'm outta here, carry on!  :-*
Another enlightened being in our midst. God bless you Brig.

That`s a veritable billboard for Christianity!

Couldn`t have said it any better.
Sorry, but there are at least a few, very large, organised wealthy Christian groups, that preach (indirectly) the aquisition of materialism and money. The wealth and political power of some Christian organizations is mind blowing

Speaking of, Art should interview Jeff Sharlet who wrote a book about The Family.  That would be an interesting show.

I should also add that there's nothing evil in the Christian perspective about being wealthy or having nice things.  It's the love of money and greed that's the problem.  When you worship money and power ahead of God there's a huge issue.  You see this sort of nonsense amongst Chrisitian Dominionists and it's not good.  Let's not forget that Abraham was incredibly wealthy.

This really touches on the issue significantly. And I hope this is my last post on this subject.

I get that belief systems are personal and powerful. I get that metaphysical subjects are interesting and lead to the desire of a perfect world. I also get that it is rewarding, enticing, and pleasurable to make a connection with someone else and in doing so give them a better path. I get that in spades.

Here is what I think some do not get. What happens if in sharing this advice something goes wrong? Or if not wrong, just dispelling enough to change someone's direction in seeking further help? For most of the (broad term) psychics I have encountered there is little to no insight into serious health issues. Be it mental illness or physical illness, if something goes wrong there is no fall back and worse no accountability.

I have heard that there is a movement to license astrologers. I really have no idea what that means. If that licensure holds practitioners to a high level of care that is considered standard practice for health issues my opinion may change.

I don't see it that way.  It is the glorification of the ego that is the problem.  The thinking that you are better than everyone else.  Putting others down.  This, in my mind, is the beginning of greed and the justification of other bad qualities that harm the world.

We are each on his own path.  We, hopefully, will change our opinions as we age and digest more information.  How can I put the other guy down, when I was there in my youth?  I suppose this is why we've been taught to hate the action but not the person.

There are good and bad in every economic bracket.  If you live in a country that does not have a great public safety net you might surely have more of an inclination towards what some call greed.  If you have ever been poor in your life, you might share that inclination.  That does not really make you evil.  Hopefully, we will all get therapy and reach a 'clear' state before death, but how reasonable is that concept?  We are all works in progress.

Not going to stay up for this one. Have no clue who this dude is and his bio is less than impressive IMHO.

QuoteBio:

A standup comedian for more than 20 years Joe Rogan sells out theaters internationally with London’s Guardian newspaper praising him as, “One of the most complex and exciting stand-ups working in America today.”  Rogan’s fourth hour-long special, Joe Rogan: Rocky Mountain High, premiered on Comedy Central on November 21, 2014 and is available as a digital video or audio download.  Rogan is host of The Joe Rogan Experience, featuring long form conversation with guests that is one of the most popular podcasts online.  Since 2002, Rogan has provided color commentary for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) on Pay Per View, Spike Television and now on FOX.

Am I missing something? UFC...seriously ?!?!?  Stand up comedian?!?!

Joe Rogan has one of the top podcasts in the world right now.

Also used to buy into a lot of conspiracy theories that he has since shied away from.

Also hosted Joe Rogan Questions Everything, which was a conspiracy based show on SyFy.

Also have you never heard of Fear Factor?

bateman

Joe Rogan?? That's fucking awesome.

Rogan will be good. He's got all sorts of weird interests like isolation tanks and hallucinogen consciousness stuff.

Don't watch much TV but I do know what Fear Factor is.

Has never been a conspiracy that I can't get my teeth into.

No problem!

Isolation tanks and DMT will be brought up as well. As will pot.

He went down the road of "the moon landing may be faked" until he had Niel deGrasse Tyson on o explain to him how it worked. It was one of his best shows.

You know nothing about me, and yet you pass judgement as if I were some kind of hack.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and a Master's Degree in Fine Arts. I have been syndicated by two major US syndicates, one out of Chicago and one out of Washington DC, and my daily and weekly horoscopes have appeared in over 500 US, British and Canadian newspapers. I have written for The Toronto Star, The London Daily Telegraph and far too many daily newspapers and magazines to be listed here. I have spent many years working as a reporter, essayist, crime writer, film critic and freelance editor for many of these papers.

I have also studied extensively with some of the finest mystically trained minds on this planet. Kalu Rimpoche, Jamgon Kuntral, Tenzin Rimpoche and yes....even Karmapa Rimpoche. I have spent 3.5 years meditating on the top of a mountain in a monastery, with close spiritual instruction from several highly realized teachers, and spent all of that time sleeping in a box at night in the full lotus position....because, yes, you even meditate when you sleep during advanced training. I have been initiated into some of the most secret and hidden empowerment practices known on this planet and I have studied cosmology extensively. I work with many ethereal beings and, even though you don't understand it, I can assure you it is very real.

I have spent over 30 years working as a VERY sought after astrological counsellor and my client list has names on it that, I am sure, would completely shock you.

You think I don't have accountability? You think I don't have awareness of my influence on others?

You have no idea who I am and you know nothing about cosmology, spiritualism or astrology...you only know that it is, in your mind, somehow bad. This is the knowledge you have. This is your paradigm.

And so....let the criticism of even my past experience and training begin. Because that makes you feel just so above it all.

And you still owe me an apology.
