Okay...here's the deal.

I know someone that had gasoline sprayed in her window, her cat killed with a shovel and the word 'dyke' written in feces on her front door. Her crime? Living in the neighbourhood while gay.

I also know a man who was beaten into a coma with a baseball bat. His crime? Walking down the street while gay.

I also know a teenager who killed himself because of words written over and over again on his school locker.

General, Catsmile...Paladin; when was the last time you were afraid to walk down the street, or go to school or live in your own home?

Just words, you say? Please.

Just words. How stupid is that? So, if they are just words I can stand in front of your house and scream 'child molester' and that would be okay?

I refuse to let homegrown terrorists make me live in fear.  If every man and woman had the balls or ovaries to stand up to terrorists, it would be a much more polite society.  Sorry about your losses, really.  I am.  But where were all the PC 'good' ppl who were, I am sure, outraged by these events.  The guy who took the baseball bat beating, did this happen in his bathroom?  Or in public?  I'm wondering where all the 'good' ppl were when he went down. 

As for their crimes of being 'gay?'  It's a common response fm law enforcement that if you don't like the neighborhood....move.  Sorry, I don't know what to tell you.  I'm guessing that you weren't there when these things went down or it would have had a different outcome.

I took a beating for a gay guy in downtown Long Beach, a 'gay' city.  3 assholes were shoving the guy around because he was wearing a 'gay' tshirt.  Dozens of ppl on the streat.  I intervened, because terrorism doesn't go unanswered when it's presented to me. ( 4 years ago, true story. )  After the cops ran up (foot patrols in DT gotta keep the tourists safe) I was jacked up, but got my licks in.  Looked around and the victim hadn't lent a hand, hadn't stood up for himself, he ran.  Pussy.  I knew one of the cops through my brother, who is a LB copper, so I didn't get cited.  A 'bad' guy who is rather blunt in his talk and humor.  *shrug*

Stand out front of my house and scream?  I'll call the cops.  'Crazy lady out front.'  Bye bye, crazy lady and I am back to my dinner.
