Art,

You mentioned earlier that you like "Better Call Saul." Did you know there's a marathon of previous episodes today, leading up to the season finale tonight? I was just thinking that there are other sections of Bellgab that might provide you some diversion/distraction from all things contract-related.

If I were Art I would find visiting Bell Gab and it's brown-nosers far more tedious than contract BS. But then again, this is free, and lawyers cost money, so it would be a toss up.

Well at least here I am among friends. The stress of reading all day long about the insane new Digital music rules is enough to push anybody over the edge. I really want to get this all going but not if it is a deal that is doomed to fail for all. It's got to have the bases covered because the money I do have saved is for my Family and I can not take risks with it just to satisfy my wanting to do a show. Trust me when I say the Lawsuits over music are flying like Hell Fire's over Yemen.

I understand that some of you say who cares about the music, but it is part of the magic, not all of it of course but a part of it none the less. I told Keith to talk with them and I didn't want to hear about it till he had some kind of resolution but I can not even hold to that. I think I am a A+ personality and can not change that, I think I pretty much worry everything to death, no doubt including my own. So, should I pass into that higher antenna location in the sky remember I was here on Bell Gabb. Also please get the EVP folk's on minus Jimmy and I will try and tell you how hot it really is there. (At least I could cook Pizza rolls by just holding them up)

Yeah, you are (mostly) among friends here, and you've proven yourself able to tell the difference.

What is it about adult men who call themselves "Jimmy"? First it was Chunga, then it was Church. Maybe we could get bateman to interview the G.I.S. crew, minus Chunga of course, after you pass into the antenna location. Where would you suggest the EVP crew go with their recorders to find you? Somewhere close to the giant loop antenna could be interesting.

Art, when we were kids and misbehaved our grandmother would tell us that we were going to hell in a handbasket.
As we became adults we often repeated it to each other when one of us did something considered bad. Over the years we "furnished" our handbasket with recliners, a fully stocked bar, TV, etc. You are more than welcome to share it with us when the time comes!

Art--look at it this way...July is not the key. You could do this a year from now or 2...so there shouldn't be this pressure that everything needs to be done for July or soon after. That should ease the pressure...it shouldn't be like you're under the gun time wise.

That's the scourge of perfectionists. When we're anticipating something we believe is very important and all we can do is wait, the feedback loop in our brain kind of goes into a runaway process.
I've had to walk away from projects because of it affecting health.
Some things I found helpful to derail the feedback loop are change of setting, benzodiazepines (only as needed!), distancing from the project, which it looks like Keith is helping with.
In any case, you don't owe us anything so just take care of your family, and anything else is gravy.

inuk2600, that sounds scary. Is it anything like a panic attack? I remember Art saying that he suffers from panic attacks. My sister had those for years, especially when under stress. I ran her to the ER more than a few times before her diagnosis. Her BP would be going up and down, her pulse rate very high, her heart skipping beats and she'd be quite certain she was on the verge of a heart attack. After trying behavioral therapy, hypnosis, and biofeedback, she finally got relief from a low-level dose of an SSRI. She hasn't had a panic attack in years now, but I'll never forget how terrifying it was for her.

I'm no expert but I'm sure it brings out panic attacks in many people. In my case it's unremitting anxiety rather than attacks..

Art, I appreciate your hard work and all the great shows you've done in the past. I really hope this works out, but I wish you would consider having someone create music for your show. I listen to a few creative podcasts and the mood setting, custom music really works and I only associate it with those shows. I'm sure between all your connections and the very talented friends on BG- you'd have the perfect mood music and then some. You have the final say in this, of course.

Who knows where we'll end up after this life- I'm really hoping we get all our questions finally answered!

I guess I can't guarantee this but I'll guarantee this. Besides Art, no once this deal done more than Keith. He has a long standing relationship with Art. He wants Art on the Dark Matter Radio Network. I think Keith, his lawyer, and the partners will work this out.

That being said I wonder how the new partners/network/station will share the show with Keith? Even if the show runs a day later on the DMRN I'd be likely to tune in. I wonder if that is one of the issues.

I hate to speculate at this critical point in time but wow, what a time this is to be a Art Bell fan! Thanks to MV for this forum.

It would be nice to know the issues with the contract so we could all brain storm but yes, it's best to let the professionals handle it.
