I loved doing the cover and the internal layout, which highlighted his beautiful face.

That strip only lasted a few months, and surprisingly there was no public outcry when it disappeared. It just blooped into oblivion. Until now, of course.

Non-listers are left to wonder, I guess. Although I can't imagine the fact that it had to be PM'd rather than posted on the board is a good sign as to the status of a deal getting done.

Bill said they were in the $150-dollar range and were provided by the production company. They had five pairs of them, and he managed to break all but one. They were red-tinted. Not sure of the manufacturer, but if I find out who it is, I will PM you and it can be a secret!

Unfortunately I am growing more and more pessimistic on Art's potential return. In other words....

Not meaning to sound too optimistic - as to move you out of your pessimistic zone - But I think Art's return to the airwaves is a doable deal. He can deal with one company, or the other, or both. Between BMI and ASCAP they represent over 18.5 million songs, (and can license them all) and almost 2 million artists. Out of over 18 million songs I'd venture to guess that the ones Art wants aren't included in their repertoire.  And affordable is the only way to describe it. For instance - the license fee is based on the number of times you play a song, or on the revenue. I believe that the song would have to be played like 3,000 times a year if you go that route. But if you go the revenue route (which they suggest that you do if the revenues are less than $142,000) you would calculate as follows: (hypothetical numbers)

TOTAL GROSS REVENUE $ ______15,000________TOTAL GROSS REVENUE X 1.75% = $ ______262.50__________LICENSE FEE

TOTAL PAYMENT DUE= $ __262.50_____________  Two Hundred Sixty-two dollars and fifty cents.  (quarterly or yearly options)

It's all in the contracts from BMI and ASCAP so there really isn't a need for lawyers. You can sign up and be granted your license today. ( they call it digital licensing )
