As far as Flo and Eddie go..The LSD and "summer of  love" potion wore off.  They totally don't know the meaning of "free" love anymore.  That's the kindest way I can put in perspective what the Turtles have done lately.

If I know MV and I think I do; this will be a top right quote by the end of the day. :D

No it's not a deal breaker at all. Plenty we can use and we will add new stuff as well, no big deal. A few heartbreakers for sure but we can ask the record labels one at a time for those.

Cool.  Whenever you want to go after some classics--i'll vote for SOME VELVET MORNING then.  That's one that's really associated with you.  I discovered that one from you.  Other than that one can't of one that is that obvious off the top of my head.

Hey 85% ain't bad.
Really hoping for some Nancy Sinatra though.

Is getting permission from the record companies an option? If so that's great. In any event it's no deal breaker for me.

Do you use carts for music or is it all digital now?

Ha, well in fact I am like MOST of you. I have a pretty sharp sense of humor, a bit twisted, sure we share a lot of traits. I am not bothered by people who come at me on or off the air, I kind of enjoy it, that's a bit twisted for sure.

Again today I can report good news without saying what it is and very soon now, like I think next Week I will be able to tell you of a signed contract which will include:

Well anybody who plays pre 72 tunes is risking a big lawsuit as you can see with a bit of reading. Just Google Turtles Lawsuit and read, it's a big deal. Yes we can and will seek permission from a few but for the most part we can live with it.

No problem Art--you got a ton of music to choose from and grab just a handful of pre-1972 tunes and you are in great shape.

Does the post 1972 refer to the recording date or original "written" date?

I think we get it--Art's getting post 1972 songs AND he says he may get a few songs individually from before that time.

Some Velvet Morning is mesmerizing.  First time I heard it on the "Movin With Nancy" special I was blown away.  Then Art started playing it soon after.  Frank sang a song on that special also called "Younger Than Springtime."  Great stuff for sure.

What's the odds that Dave's bumper music tonight is comprised of all pre-72 hits. He is just a big enough of a douche to pull a stunt like that.

Is that a reference to "Nothin but a Heartache?"
I know you were stuck on that song for a long time.

There are a number of pre (and post) 1972 hits that I never would have been introduced to were it not for your show Art. Many of them are so disparate from my usual music tastes. Thank you for opening me up to another world. Who would have thunk that I'd ever sing along to ABBA. Now let us never speak of this again. :P

Hey MV, couldn't you write off a trip to Pahrump as a business expense? We have to ensure Art has everything he needs to be on air as soon as he has the green light!

i don't think they'd want me out there.  i'd just stare at art awkwardly the whole time.
