He already agreed!
And so the teasing begins in earnest.  We know the announcer, we have the name of the show and the music for the close (and have some ideas for the intro.)  In addition to what was posted on the board, we have the wealth of information from the PM's that circulate and just await the name of the small Pahrump radio station that will host the show and the other "partner" in addition to the firm start date and guest list...

Oh, and permission to bombard the internets with the news.

Ideally, the car stereo should just be an amplifier and a dumb terminal.

exactly.

Hey they are getting ready to put a Woman on the $20 Dollar bill, no doubt if will have to be a dead Woman but why not put a babe on, who do you think would hit the spot, so to speak?

Art

Yoko. Or Sean.

WOTR

Dead American women?  Elizabeth Blackwell certainly comes to mind near the top of the list.  More famous would be Rosa Parks.  I kind of like her because she really was just a "regular person" until fame came her way.

Living women I have a much tougher time with.  As a society, we are determined to tear down our idols after we build them.  Most of the male or female "heroes" of yesteryear had skeletons that the press steered clear of out of respect.  With that no longer the case, flaws are reported and magnified until they eclipse the work of the individual.

Without resorting to politicians or Hollywood actresses we are left with more obscure women who have contributed to the sciences or somehow to humanity.  However, once they hit the press we will discover that they forgot to pay their parking tickets or had an affair and will slowly turn on them...

How about Marilyn Monroe on the $20 and Monica Lewinsky on the $1...   wait, is that cyber bullying?

Music does put you into a altered state, it's one of the reasons I would never consider doing a show without.

Art

..and that is gold. Year Of The Cat, always my favorite.  It tells such a story.  Although, I don't think he ever leaves her in the third verse..  He just stays.

I didn't apologize for my drawing because of a lack of balls.
Mostly, because  I used Art's name on it, and I don't like that I used a good name in connection with that nasty rape subject.

As for banknotes, I really don't know a woman in the same league as the founding fathers, or great inventors (eg. like Tesla) or scientists (Einstein).
Being a Feminist, novelist or woman who didn't want to sit in the back of a bus doesn't really come close to these guys, sorry.
So, best to stick with the founding fathers on the money.
Or maybe, put a horned devil on them as long as they're printed by the Federal Reserve instead of the Treasury.
It would become a collectible in the Near East for sure.

JC is just a troll who did a nice job playing a religious nut. He was funny back then, but his act is a bit overstretched by now, everybody knows he's just a troll by now. Any good trolls here? Come up with something new to troll Art Bell on his show please.

JC is a real person and not playing the role of JC?  If that is true, my mind is blown!

But this??? Are you joking?

Do you really want shallow, here today, gone tomorrow pop culture stars as national symbols on your money?  Really?

Canada already has the Queen on the twenty dollar bill, but if we were to choose another female figure it would probably be Laura Secord.

Juan

Clearly Marilyn.

Might as well print some porn stars, can't get more American than that ;) I mean..hell, it'd make us think twice before spending money.

Elizabeth Stanton deserves it more than anyone I think.

Thanks to FortRock, I've been browsing the last few pages whilst listening to The Scorpions.

Gotta say, it's pretty epic when Art talks about progress being made to the tune of some killer riffs.

Scorpions-The zoo

Also this: I say we put Bea Arthur flipping the bird on the $20.

I'm begging you Universe, get this done.

I'm so excited, I can't wait for July. Once again, Mr. Bell's voice, as I sit in a dark room, with music, and Ross Mitchell, just like the old days, only better!
But wait, I have one fear. What if, in his "advanced" age, he's lost all ability to interview, and just babbles, incessantly?
OMG, that would be horrible. (just kidding Mr. Bell, teasing with the utmost fondness and affection. No intent to offend).
Seriously, I can't wait, let me know when & where to send my money!

How about Susan B. Anthony gets a promotion from the $1 coin to the $20 bill?
