Snow day today! Here's the fruits of my lack of labor:

Art Bell’s Nightscape
Other Worlds with Art Bell
Night Spectres with Art Bell
Night Visions with  Art Bell
Art Bell’s Singularities

Those are good, especially Nightscape.

That's very kind of you, GFP.  ;)

i can also count two douchy calls to art in the 90s among my life's accomplishments.  one of them was in 1999, and i don't even want to shame myself by repeating what i asked.  the other, i think, was in 1997.

i was just the biggest dud of a caller ever.

I was too nervous to call in but did recommend guests and a topic that Art bravely took my advice on. One of the guests, Ron, was retired from a classified job working on spy satellites and was able to obtain declassified computer printouts via a FOIA request of the old case of the Iranian pilots encounter with a UFO. I paired him up with Derrel, the Alien Hunter, as the two were doing research together. So when Art opens the show and says hello to Ron, there's nobody there! I got one of those gulps in my throat. Ron's phone connection to Art was completely severed and helicopters were flying over his house. This is a true story.  He finally got to a neighbor's house and was able to use their phone for the show, but he & Derrel were like deer in the road with headlights of a car coming at them. Ouch!

That reminds me of the story I wrote in the old "I saw Art Bell today" thread.

Those were just stories?

OMG someone has some mad photo-shop skillz

laughing so hard I almost pee'd myself

but that is, of course, utterly sacreligious... and you're probably going to hell  :-\

It's surprisingly hard to come up with decent names, so I appreciate them even more after thinking about this  :)

No.... Art took a webcam picture wearing the tinfoil hat back on the old artbell.com

That is also not my artwork in the background. Did a quick google image search and slapped it together  ;D

I'm joking! I'd honestly go with The Art Bell Show or Art Bell's Midnight in The Desert.

Bee Yawn Beef Wiff Art Bell. I think the names already taken though.

DesertFox

The Undiscovered Country--steal from the best, Shakespeare.

Art Bell

Two things: I want to thank Sue for grabbing the domain which she is sending to Keith.
Also I really like Midnight in the Desert but still thinking.
Wait three things, heard from Sirius/XM and they say no they never sold anything to "those people"
Wonder what their smoking over there?

Oh hell yes! If we're stealing from the masters:

Art Bell's Heart of Darkness

Midnight in the Desert is nice but if you add your name to it, it turns into a pretty long title. 'Midnight in the Desert with Art Bell.'  Kind of lengthy no?

PrairieGhost

It's amazing to me that the other place is saying they own your Dark Matter shows. I guess money talks and dirty games will be played.

Guess somebody "over there" swore a false affidavit on the ownership of past programs.  That is why the attorneys had a paralegal swear it. Self-preservation.

True but only the bass-y booming voice-over intro has to say the whole nine-yards...

Art: "East of the Rockies!... Hello, you're on the air with Midnight in the Desert... please turn down your radio!"

caller: "ART? IS THAT YOU ART? AM I ON THE AIR" (am i on the air... the air... air... air)

Art: "I'm the only one here caller! Please! Turn down your radio!"

caller: ART?? (art... rt... rt)

Art: "West of the Rockies!"

Sirius/XM had many phone lines. I controlled them with software but because they shipped the call to me the quality suffered. Now I will have land lines here, a much better way to go quality wise.

Building the studio is going to be a big job.

It's gonna be a thing of beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!

To receive a Cease & Desist from a paralegal is the cheapest operation I have ever witnessed. I get C&Ds all the time for mentioning things like California psychics, Hotel California (Glenn Frey is particularly litigious), etc. under what I believe is fair use.  Real attorneys send out these notices and reply back to questions. If IHeart is as broke as I've read they are, the upper management must be juggling to make sure each of them collects a paycheck and has a job lined up for the possible company sell-off when the payment comes due in 2016.
