So Noory is not the only one who hosts a broadcast and ignores the guest while surfing the net? ;D

Hey hey hey careful the Bell house are Packer fans.

On another note I really can't say what the new show will be, honestly even in the old days if I planned a show about half the time it went in a complete different direction just based on what some caller said. I want that again, to be sure THOSE were the best shows. It's ok to have a Guest but over the YEARS Mostly it changed to all Guest to the point that open lines just about vanished. If you do a smart show you tend to get smart calls. I want the show to drift back to its roots. It's possible to screen out the unexpected, I won't do that.

Ok, I think what we will do is a really good question and my only answer is whatever is fun and interesting. Will it be the same show, perhaps not. When I went to Sirius/XM I did retrench some Guests and it may have been a bad idea, I will not do that this time. As I have mentioned before unscreened open lines led to some of the wildest new topics that we did. Many of those have been done to death by Dave, I feel no need to talk Shadow People if you feel me.

Trying to rehash stuff is a mistake.

Art

Art, I think straying too far from paranormal topics too often would be a mistake. The paranormal is interwoven into the fabric of what makes your radio show so magical. With that said, I'll be listening regardless of the topic.

Funny you should mention shadow people/top hat man...one of my favorite topics.

I hear those are hard to get, and that they are written into the Will of a person.

Art,
For me one of the major charms of your show was that sense of spontaneity!  Unlike hosts who try too hard and over prepare, or stick to a rigid format, your shows always had an edge...we learned to expect the unexpected!  And there are certainly no lack of (newer) topics to be explored.  Can't wait for July!

Yes, that was the magic for me as well. Feel free to listen to older shows and check out where the best topics came from, I bet in at least 80% of the time I it began with what some caller said. Now don't get me wrong if a caller is drunk or way over the edge I will be on to the next person in a flash but again it's like mining gold, if you never go hunting you will not find.

Saw my first game as a 5 year old in 1975. Still got the program, a pack of cards, and Jerry Kramer's book. (I couldn't even read yet)

Copy and Paste Info:

The Green Bay Packers have the most famous waiting list, with more than 80,000 names. This would mean a name placed on the list today would be eligible for season tickets in 955 years. It is a common custom in Green Bay and other Wisconsin cities to put a baby's name on the list as soon as the birth certificate is obtained. Transfer of standing to surviving relatives is permitted by the Packers.
The Packers front office tell fans the wait will be for 30 years.

Always resale tickets available for about double face price. Which is still cheap compared to 'Big City' games.

Gosh, there is so little rabid right wing Talk Radio, I could just jump right into that gaping hole!

So glad to hear you say this (in jest), Art. That seems to be exactly what "Dave" is trying to do. Some of your fans are of the liberal persuasion (me for one), and just imagine how we feel about that.  Even if I were a conservative, I would be sick to death of the "rabid right wing Talk Radio" of which you speak.

Your take on the paranormal is what built Coast to the heights it reached under your command. Shadow people, and all things that go bump in the night, are fine with me.  I echo the sentiments here about loving the stories told round the campfire that just MIGHT be true.  And when you build up your audience of intelligent callers again, the transition to excellence will have been made. What a change that will be from what comes over the line to speak to their beloved Noory.

Agreed, Art! I'm looking forward to the open lines!

I know that you mentioned all new guests but I still hope we hear old favorites like Michio Kaku, Linda Moulton Howe, and Richard C. Hoagland.

You've got to bring the Ghostbuster Gals back because they told Dave Norry to pound salt and appeared on your show instead of his.

And please bring back the Ghost Investigators Society without that Jimmy Chunga guy! The old GIS shows are classic!

popple

I think Dave and the crew actually avoid looking into things. Every once in a blue moon someone will call in with a fascinating story & Dave doesn't do more than giggle, throw in an "MY GOSH" and rush them off. It's even more annoying when they are starting to talk again after being interrupted by a (usually off topic or derailing) question and Tommy or someone hangs up on them. By accident of course.

Coast is sort of a boring and nauseating merry-go-round now. Art took us on a wild off-roading ride lol This summer is gonna be great  8)

I like the shows where callers called in with their UFO sightings. You'd usually get some doozies and some credible ones as well.
Whatever happened to the Sleepwalker Ranch? MadMan Markum? Mel went to Australia - but no way he took his hole with him... anybody ever find it? ;)  What's the latest aerials from Area 51? What's Bob Lazar up to? Is John Lear still alive? What's the latest from Michio? And what about that *free energy* electricity that gets mysteriously generated from your antenna array???

That's just a few things off the top of my head that would be nice to get updates on... please.

I recently listened to Mel's Hole complete shows again... Like to turn people on to Art, with Mel's Hole playing in background. They get interested real fast and start asking questions... Anyway, was listening to an old show recently and I'd bet it was Mel calling in, about a year before his Mel Hole broadcast. He was calling in about a different subject and Art cut him short. Wrote the date of show down but lost the paper :(  He used a different name or no name but it was Mel's voice.

Whilst we're talking about the GIS; Art do you know why Barbara didn't appear with Brendon on Dark Matter? Please dump Jimmy Chunga as a guest. He almost single-handedly ruined my favorite guests and topic on your show.

Prior to that Dark Matter episode I took everything Brendon and Barbara said to the bank. I kind of believed that we were hearing the voices of the dead and one of the reasons was because you endorsed them and also for the mere fact that they were never selling anything. The GIS was always a closed group of 5 members and we followed their adventures for years. This Chunga guy just rubbed me the wrong way. He came in and he was inserting himself into a history of the GIS that I'm pretty sure he was never apart of. Also the voices that he brought to the table were clearly him just using a voice modulator. He George Lucased us.
