If you are  really going to send someone back in time. send someone back to the time that the ancients said people descended from the heavens and see if they were really UFO's. See if von Danekin was right,

Heather Wade

I like that idea too, bigvig.  Maybe send them to India when they say they had the vimanas flying.

Seems that as soon as time travel technology is invented in the future -- that technology and many other major leaps in technology would be brought to this present time and many earlier periods - so there would be a spontaneous blossom of high technology throughout the ages.
Just think about that for a bit. It came to me last night when I was listening to Art's show with David Anderson from 2-15-01. What if the Renaissance suddenly had the capability for zero point energy or cold fusion .. or who knows what energy source to be discovered in the future.
Or would there be decree in the future to prevent that from happening?

Who

I wouldn't send a man of faith or a scientist - each would have an agenda.  I would send a great magician - like David Copperfield.  If Copperfield observed the miracles of Jesus he would know whether he's seeing a real miracle or an illusion.  A truly great illusionist like Copperfield couldn't be fooled.

It doesn't have to be Copperfield - it could be Chris Angel.  Any great illusionist would do.

(And find out if those flying Vs were polka dotted like Randy Rhoads' flying V.)

It all makes sense now. The ancient astronauts and angels are US, time traveling, and Ezekiel's wheel was one hell of a military drone.

Send ME! I've seen Red Planet and Mission to Mars. What could go wrong?

Good question, NO I would not, just to get there and say wow red rocks? Not as big a question. I will accept the words of those who go.

Yeah but... You'd see Number 9 and prove once and for all that Martians washed their clothes in Maytags

If Mars has an open bar, I'd probably go.

No--I mean they have made it a TV series now.  It's entertaining and gets heavily into time tripping.

Oh. Okay. Well then never ever mind.  ???

I want to be the first man to drop a 'deuce' on Mars. Because science reasons!

Yes, the Temporal Prime Directive would prevent contamination of the natural progression of timelines.

Knowing if they are polka dotted like the greatest guitar player ever's guitar is critical.  Ha haa.  Cam!!

But your second point here has crossed my mind several times...

I agree with that, it might be the point we take a giant leap into a future and avoid blowing ourselves
up, because a quick look at the headlines right now is very disturbing. ISIS, Iran, N Korea and so forth. It seems silly to miss the old cold War but......

Excellent point! I find the whole concept of blood sacrifice, especially human, immoral. Why would a deity need this and what kind of deity demands it?

Could Jesus have been an overzealous preacher whose beliefs caused him to sacrifice himself?

Replying as a Catholic, you are asking questions that could cause one to question their faith.
Christianity is also an institution. One can support the institution and ignore the paradoxes of faith.

I think that the aliens flying around in circular vehicles - like the "Rods" that Jose Escamilla keeps seeing - are tourist shuttles. They're just float'n around laughing at us. Wouldn't a Prime Directive forbid them from doing stuff like that?  Or are they black market tourists?

People who refuse to ask questions almost never get answers.

So you like going to church....but you don't want to question the dogma? I'm an ex-catholic. Religion of any type is just not for me. Truth is too important to be brushed aside.

Yes, every time I see a photo of the Sphinx, I ache to see what the face originally looked like.

Why ache? Everything turns to thrash eventually... that old head is just taking a little longer.

The Temporal Prime Directive would prevent any interaction or manipulation of timelines in the past or future.  Just flying around taking a look at things might be ok.  :)  It is fun to speculate on these ideas.

Unfortunately, I think the Rods are photographic anomalies.

This is true. Screw all of that one with nature crap. I'd like to know when that asteroid is suppose to make deep impact so we could get into our shelters.

That's right religion is to important to be brushes aside! Our society is based on it's teaching. So to support it as an institution, is supporting our society.

True--though the key is to ask the right questions.  Which is one thing you certainly did way better than Dave.

Yeah, we see so much of that "turn the other cheek stuff" in society these days.
