Someone be so kind as to send me or find me to a place that would have a art bell show on AD.BYRD HOLLOW EARTH OR PROJECT HIGHJUMP .... I would forever be grateful ... I swear I heard a show once with Byrd son Harley ... I don't know though .. but it told of his journeys in Antarctica  ...

Thanks in advance ..

Hi Dan. Yes, I did see your review and I read it and squirmed. I explained elsewhere on the forum why the recipes that are in there are so odd. Husband Bill likes turkey a lot, and I actually made him throw out the remains today. Those were his recipes.

There's only so much you can do with turkey.

They never bothered to send us galleys or author's copies, so my name must have been removed between galleys and print. I wonder why? I would love to see a photocopy of that page. Do you think your friend still has the book?

My original book "Cheaper and Better," from 1986 I think, was exactly that.

I was really amiss that there were no pizza roll recipes in there.

In response to the squirrel died under the bed, at least he did not put in any recipes for squirrel or road kill.

About that time traveler novel, that has been in the works for almost a decade.  I think it was entitled "Nero Blaze", A Time Traveler and it had a publication date of 2006 right after "Worker In the Light" was released.  It must be one hell of a novel to take this long to make it to publication.  Either that or it is a great collaborate masterpiece of ghostwriters and writing partners.  Mr. Noory made up the name, and blessed it with a few flakes of stache hair for good publication auras.

Now I'm ready for "John B. Wells' Joy of MREs" and "Richard C. Hoagland's 365 Days of Pancakes (and Mars!)"

So was Nero the time traveler trying to escape from the dreaded Noory by traveling back in time to listen to Art in the 90's?

We weren't fired for the cookbook, but for the novel that was coming out after that.

Hello. Forgive me for getting slightly off-topic, but I've been on a life-long journey to get down to the bottom of this mystery, and you might be just the person to help.

A few days ago, we posted an article on our blog, Tetradiagon (I don't know if we're permitted to post links here, so I'll avoid that for now),  about a "UFO contactee" by the name of Hal Wilcox. I picked up a book he apparently self-published at a library bargain bin for 25 cents in 2003, called, "UFO Flight". It is an utter masterpiece of  schizoaffective folk art, and easily remains my single most prized possession. We've been trying to track down old Hal for an interview, but he's nowhere to be found. We don't even know if he's still alive. Are you familiar with this person? Have you ever interviewed him? And if so, do you know anything about where he may happen to be today?

Wow! What a great site! I will research Hal and get back to you. I have stuff in boxes in the attic and after the holidays I will be dragging them down, one by one, and going through them. They are heavy and we are old. I don't know the rules for links either, but I just did put one in another post. I think you're doing people a favor by letting them know about your site, but then, who else likes weird topics?

I like mcphallus too.

It's been bugging me for a while now, mcphallus, what was your avatar a few years ago? Before u mad bro, it was a dude, who I am assuming was yourself, before that what was it? What the fuck is wrong with me, I can't remember. I know I asked you something similar before. What was your old avatar?

Thanks for the love guys.  This place was taking up too much of my life at one point, so I took a break. Yah, the old avvy pic of a guy was me.  The one GN is thinking about was this classic, which I've been thinking about resurrecting:

Pizza rolls anyone?

Welcome to the forum and post often.
I do enjoy some pizza rolls for dinner.

Yes a lot indeed.  Are you saying Art Bell told you or mentioned it on air that 15,000 people were complaining just about dropping continuously.  I thought nobody was listening to him, but let's use it as base line.  Why don't we project a bit off that number.  How many would you extrapolate from 15,000 plus droppers, were NOT dropping?  Do u really believe Sirius listeners drop something like 9 out of 10 subscribers or just about half, which would mean Bell had over 30,000 listeners the first fucking week!  Wouldn't you like to know you had just a couple thousand listening to spec or bc!

Unless he had 30,000 listeners and only 5000 were not dropping I rest my case.

good questions.  who knows.

Well, I see the majority of you are back at bashing Art just because he's not here massaging your hearts and your tiny little feelings with a daily post. "Oh, I love you Art!" Then Art doesn't post for awhile (as there is nothing more to say!) and it's "Art, you are MIA! How dare you! You are *insert name calling here* and you *insert lowdown insults here*.

At this point, I'm glad he left. You bashers don't deserve him. What a pathetic bunch.

you don't strike me as being particularly stable yourself.

I still like Art. I think some of the names he's being called is unfair. I also think some of the points people bring up are valid.

Either way Art is/was a great radio host. If there is ever a show he's on I would listen.
I have however stopped committing my life's time trying to figure out what he's thinking/planning next. Why, because Art bell doesn't even know.

I remember a time when Art said he would never be on XM. Hated the idea of paying for radio, etc.
He also made comments about how great AM and such. Now he's down to internet or nothing.

11angeleyes11

Why could he not come back on AM?  I know that he is a risk, but I just read that Cumulus has almost finished the purchase of Westwood One, subject to the Department of Justice approval.  There's options.

Art posted here he would never go back to terrestrial radio, since he wants to move on to the new future, not backwards.
He considers internet streaming the "future" of radio.

Yeah Morgan, well that little spiel just killed me!  I actually DID love AB.  However, I have had it.  I had a mini spaz out on a night where the guest sucked ass as he blew off the fucking japananese nuke melt down.  I wanted to bash his head in especially as AB just seemed to not challenge him and even suck the guys ass.  I also started commenting in that same vain that the show should be costing listeners no more than fifteenth thents a day OR we should have a reduced fee for only wanting to tune in for Dark Matter when at that point, shithead loud mouth what's his face, the cat who wanted to be on GabCast, whotf is he, the dude who was in the service, he did some retarded recorded thing where he sounded fucking nuts, jumped in and told me that was not the place for me to be discussing that.  Fucking asshole.  Had his own pic in camouflage military attire for his avatar.

Anyway I apologized.  My mistake.  For apologizing.  But goddamn I digress.  Bell is at this point simply delusional.  He fucked up big time and I did not come to this conclusion quickly.  Into the future, please he's nearly 70!  He should have gone back on the radio if he REALLY wanted to come back!  I guess he didn't give a shit about collecting 75 grand for some measly airtime, which according to him wipes him out by giving that 110%.  75 grand for 14-16 lousy hours that he could have socked away for a kid a man that age should not even be allowed to have.  When I see Paul McCartney holding that kid of his hand walking down the street I cringe!  He looks like her great grandfather for fucks sake!  What fucking 16 yr old wants to introduce their raggedy ass looking 80 something year old 'father' to their friends!?  Bell's future has left the building.

Speaking of the future, the bitcoin is really annoying.  The only place it's going into the future is seized by the government.  I remember not only trade/bartering being all the rage in the 90's and using it myself for you name it, until the sleazy government got its scummy paws on it and nose in it.  It's another scam.

Art posted he would never serial-retire again also.

The only way he will broadcast again, is if he has complete and utter control and responsibility for it.

Having to work with the "corporate types" at premier is what turned him away in the first place.  More commercials, use this guest, avoid this topic, call this station for a promo with the Adan's tomorrow am, etc,etc

Honestly, he should look at WWCR shortwave.  The transmitter in Tennessee can reach most of the continent.  Don't worry about streaming.   Your fan base has that covered at a grass roots level.

Shortwave radio isnt really "competing" with anything.

And it wasn't that long ago Art was pedaling the virtues of "extraterrestrial radio" on DM.  ::)  To paraphrase a certain Pres, we didn't leave Art, Art left us.

College student loans are the best commodity. For a mere 100k loan you too can get a worthless degree that will allow you to get a job doing something you could've done without the degree. And while you're raking in that 35k per year, paying back $500 per month, you'll have it paid off just after everyone has their own flying car.

Free govt health insurance, flying cars, Bitcoin, extra terrestrial radio, not Tomorrowland, Fantasyland.
