What a shitshow. 

I'm a long-time subscriber of Sirius (from back before the merger) and I was quite excited about Bell's return and his return being on sat, especially. 

To blame this on the admittedly clunky online stream is just bullshit, imo.  You'd think that such issues like that would have been worked out before the show got off the ground.  Also, I find it strange how other major shows, like O&A and Stern, quite successfully migrated their listener bases over to sat, or at least, the hosts didn't run away from their obligations citing such "issues" after only two months.

So Art was disgusted with Sirius.  Fine.  He's clearly grown impatient in his old age and he's certainly entitled.  But 6 fucking weeks!  Give me a break!  He sells the shit out of the extraterrestrial thing, fucking c crane stuff and his whole dark matter thing to the point of fucking mugs and hats for christ sake, and just QUITS!  Doesn't tell the audience a thing!  Just bails and shuts down his fan based FB page.  This whole thing remains pathetic.  Yeah I like him and his radio and if comes back I will listen but I'll say it again, as far as up until now, give me a break!

Yep.  I'm on my computer.  The first link kept cutting in and out, but the second worked and is wonderfully clear.  Sounded like police radio chatter. 

So there's hope.  Thanks, Art.  Please stay on Sirius, too. 

I listened to that O&A link on Utube.  I know Art said Noory was poaching Dark Matter guests, but a caller said Noory was telling guests that they could not be on C2C if they were on Dark Matter.  THAT would be a BIG reason why Art needed more listeners, wouldn't it?  Guests tend to go where the largest audiences go.  They're mostly selling books, aren't they?

I like how the likened the timeouts on the app and webplayer to putting in the numbers on LOST.

Sirius are the only company that just assume you aren't listening to their product. Gold.

I love the O&A bit, but they're obviously not aware that the streaming timeout is now four hours. Art asked for that the first week of his show, and Sirius/XM changed their web player. I was listening to entire shows straight through with no issues.

Art mentioned that on the old show (ie: Dark Matter). He said they had increased the timeouts on the web app to 4 hrs but the iPad/iphone/android app was still 90 mins.

I hope none of Art's loved ones were hurt by that typhoon.  There were power outages, flash floods, landslides and many buildings torn apart.  1,200 deaths.  Communications were cut off.  People are saying the damage was extensive and devastating.  It had  had sustained winds of 147 mph with gusts of 170 mph when it made landfall.  It hit on Friday and then went on to Viet Nam. 

Let's hope all is ok for his family.
