I find it impossible to comprehend how anyone would actually pay to listen to TMZ, or the moron Jay Thomas -- I wouldn't listen to either of them for free, so the notion that there are people out there paying to hear them is beyond astonishing. It's actually frightening to realize there are people like that living in our society.

That TMZ show is brutal. There are few things in this world I care less about than celebrity/Hollywood gossip.

I have the filthiest mouth of almost anyone I know. I am not offended by bad language in the slightest. But I am not interested in hearing a man joke about being a woman, workplace sexual harassment, and rape. Funny or not in context, that has no business in a commercial. I had to switch to listening to C2CAM on an out-of-state affiliate, because my local Houston station insists on playing its elementary school-level political "humour" commercials around the clock. I don't want to hear that garbage and it has nothing to do with the subject matter of the program.

I got the Internet only Sirius XM and have no problems listening to Art Bell On Demand.

My question is that yesterday, Art Bell made mention of listeners being able to download his show onto iTunes.  Is this possible without any extra software?  If so, how in simple English, is this done.  Thanks for any help on this matter.  Go Art !!

My only comment on the issue now is I am in awe of the power Art weilds that he is able to tell a giantsatellite radio station what NOT to air in the way of advertisers, when advertisers are the ones who pay the bills!

After a single show Art Bell is naturally the all mighty king of SiriusXM Channel 104. Within a year he'll have his own channel. BING BING BING!

I don't know about this and maybe it needs it own thread, but I have a question that I have not seen answered.  Even though it is broadcast on SirusXM, could Art or would Art be interested in syndication to terrestrial radio?  His base would be Sirus, but he would be able to add channels as requested and needed.  To me, this would be lucrative and increase competition.  Any agreement can be negotiated and drafted to meet the needs of a host.

For example, say KFI in Los Angeles wanted to add him, they could and then they would run his replays all night long.

He would broadcast as he is now, but they would pick up his show.  No Premiere involvement, only Art on Indie.

Syndicated radio works like this - The show has a certain number of minutes of commercials per hour.  The show sells about half, which is how it makes money, and the local station sells the other half, which is how it makes money.  The show is provided free.  With Art on Sirius, there is no time for the local commercials, so I don't see how a local station would be interested.

(He thinks that the FBI trained him to function as a human lie detector. Even Bob Deniro knows it's the CIA who teaches that shit.) That show fucking blows, by the way.

Nobody was annoyed that Greer was telling fantastic stories. They were annoyed because he was boring and monotone and wouldn't let art get a word in edge-wise. Art even commented on this himself and cut him off abruptly. Art obviously felt the same way.

I realize that, and I don't mind being entertained.  In fact, I like it.  That's the sole reason I listen.  But these guys always start out being as believable as they can and then that little spark of fame gets the best of them and before you know it a psychic seal riddled with tumors crawls out of Mel's hole.  And then the Nazi time travelers show up and Johnathan Reed can blink back and forth from here the the Pleiades with a special bracelet.  Why do they always have to go off the deep end of the deep end?!

Greer is not a fantastic storyteller. He's a monotonous bullshit artist. When he makes a claim, and you're interested enough to look it up on your own, only to find out it's another exaggeration, confabulation or outright lie, it gets pretty irritating. Plus, Art couldn't get a word in edgewise, which is THE MAIN REASON TO LISTEN. Greer can go fuck a duck.

For those of us who enjoy the campfire teller of fantastical tales, tonight should be good.  I thoroughly enjoy the talented storytellers Art has on his show, and Reed has been one of those in the past.  It doesn't matter if it's B.S., as long as it's well done entertainment, and the storyteller gives Art plenty of room to play.  The problem with Greer last night is that he was manic, b-o-r-i-n-g, and didn't even seem to be aware that Art was there.
